As with most travel, there were some really good things about the resort, and some that just weren't to my taste. We stayed as guests of owners and this was our second trip to Cabo (previously stayed in a condo at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach)
The resort is perfectly lovely!! We stayed in a villa which was just up the hill from the clubhouse. The view was spectacular, the villa was well appointed, and had plenty of room for our party of 5. The landscaping is beautiful and the infinity pool was perfection! I would have been happy to spend our entire stay pool side! I was pleased that there was seating for everyone on both levels of the villa - both inside and out! And, the staff (particularly housekeeping) was top notch!
Some “tips” to keep in mind: The beach, main lobby, sky pool, drug store were not really within walking distance for everyone in our party. Be prepared for (and allow time) to use the shuttles and, if you are planning to go to the sister resorts, make reservations as there is limited availability.
The resort is on the Pacific side – there is no swimming at the beach (you can shuttle to Medano Beach at the sister resort)
This is a time share resort. Expect to be invited to sales presentations. (we didn’t attend but I heard that the credits offered are not good for the spa or the golf course so be sure and check)
There is a service that includes a private chef who will come to your villa and cook an entire meal. I found this to be a highlight of our stay! It was really enjoyable.
Consider taking a taxi into town after you arrive (there is a Wal Mart in Cabo)to buy snacks and drinks (or even food). There are groceries on-site, but the variety is limited.
There is quite a bit of traffic on the main road. You can hear the busses and construction vehicles from the pools of the villas on the first row (I expect higher up the hill may be quieter).
Walk (or take a shuttle) to the last villa at the top. The view is pretty awesome!!
Wifi in the villa was better than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at! (Bonus points for when you need to post pictures to FB for your friends to envy!)
I bought a cheap pool float at the Wal Mart and used it in the infinity pool – best money spent the whole vacation!
Portable speakers are prohibited out at the pool but I couldn’t figure out how to connect my music player to the surround sound in the villa.
Plan plenty of time for dining. This is definitely not casual American “get in and get out” !
