My husband and I stayed 10 nights at Sirena Del Mar (end of Feb-early March) and had the best experience. The "A" villa with the full kitchen was more than accomodating. We felt with all rooms facing the Sea of Cortez and each having a semi-private balcony, what Sirena Del Mar was striving for was a vacation in paradise for each guest as opposed to some hotels that focus on sheer volume. We really enjoyed the pool area, bars and restaurant! Alex, Adrian, Angel and handsome Carlos the bartenders/servers were more than accomodating and really made our vacation wonderful. The service was some of the best we've experienced from the point we checked in and Antonio helped us to the wonderful bellmen Fransisco and Domingo. We participated in the fiesta, taco Tuesday, the bartending class, the cooking class, snorkeling and water aerobics all of which were fun and any charge was well worth it. The resort is relaxed yet the activities Manny hosts and specials on drinks keep it lively. Our only complaint is we had to leave!

Room Tip: We were on the first floor of the older building the furthest from the pool and we LOED our room!!!

This is now the ninth time we've been to Cabo in about five years, and the fourth to the Welk Sirena del Mar. For relaxing, quiet vacations - this is the best we've found. If you want loud & rowdy - don't go there. If you want peaceful - this is perfect. (NOTE: There is not much for younger children to do there, so for families, this one might be a "miss").

The resort is quite well-run, staff is great/super-friendly (their English is pretty good). The rooms have kitchens, so stop at Costco (very close) on your way from the airport and pick-up your food and drink. The rooms have a washer/dryer - so you can avoid checking a bunch of luggage - another plus.

One of the things I really like about the Sirena del Mar is their "oceanfront" is REALLY at the water - not the closest building from the water (but two hundred yards away) - like many other Cabo resorts we've stayed at.

I have mixed emotions about giving this place such a great review - because the more people that know about it, the harder it will be for me to get a room the next time I want to go.

Overall, if you want a great place to unwind and recharge - you would be hard-pressed to find a better spot. They have a great facility and location, and simply do-it-right. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Rooms all have great views, ans seem to be well constructed - so noise never seemed to be an issue.

We bought the Groupon for a 3-night stay. Got good phone service from Welk when we immediately booked our dates and got a 4th extra night to listen to the timeshare salespitch. In the meantime I tried to follow up for shuttle arrangements from airport and was ignored... don't let this happen b/c if you don't pre-arrange it, you're on your own for both directions.

The timeshare pitch came with breakfast, so not all bad. When we said "no", we were left alone and not pushed.

Rooms are very nice, all with ocean view. The smaller B rooms are totally fine in size for two. Free internet, worked fine for the most part. Nice kitchen, pretty pools, small private beach. We cooked ourselves (go to Walmart for the best seafood... seriously) so I can't comment on the food at the resort.

We rode the bus everywhere. Yes, you must walk up a short uphill street to get to it, but it's not bad unless you're horribly out of shape. Bus costs 1/10 of taxi ride!

Overall, nice groupon experience.

THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL! perched on a cliff above the pacific with all suites facing due south ; watching the whales and soaking up the sun became the daily ritual from our balcony.food was fabulous and reasonably priced. the staff were excellent;polite and fun.i must say bellman "francisco" and barman "carlos" went above the call of duty everyday and made us feel that we were welcome.all the staff deserve a standing ovation for their work " BRAVO" the rooms-- big, bright with travertine flooring in every room also on the balcony. the bathroom--huge , with a massive glass encased shower and closeted laundry pair. bedroom--with jetted tub for 2 maybe 3;is as big as the living room. we rented a car so location wasn't an issue ( i think i would rather be on the corridor than in town). at the time we were there (in bldg 3) i could recieve email but not send. overall i would return again and hope to next year

Room Tip: "the A rooms are twice as big as the B . well worth the twenty-something dollars.

We enjoyed the property and views during our 3 day stay. My issue is with the bed. The bed linen set-up they use is the sheet/blanket/sheet combo. The second night it got too warm in the room so I tried to kick out one of the layers. The bed was made so tightly that after much struggling I released the top layers and in the process all the sheets detached and the bed turned into a pile of twisted, wrinkled textiles. Now I don't want to make beds on vacation. Can't one hotel use a fitted bottom sheet?!? I'd pay extra for it. Hotel execs should have to sleep in one of their hotel beds once in a while and experience what it's actually like for 8 hours. Other than the bed (which is critical if you want a good night's sleep and happy spouse) Sirena was a beautiful place.
