The family owners and staff at this small beachfront hotel were very warm, friendly and attentive to our every need. Our second floor room provided beautiful ocean views and the sound of crashing waves. Frolicking dolphins were the entertainment from our balcony. The pristinely clean room was decorated with traditional Mexican furniture including two ceiling fans and AC. Each morning a delicious hot cooked-to-order breakfast was prepared for us within the price of the room. The comfortable common outdoor areas were furnished with lounges and hammocks for hours of relaxation. The
hotel staff arranged for a taxi each time we wanted to venture into town. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing getaway!

Room Tip: Next time we plan to request an oceanfront room at the end of the building.

End rooms overlooking the ocean are awesome. We enjoyed wine on our deck every evening!
Free breakfast was awesome as well!
A good walk to town if your up for it.
Best to walk down the beach as the highway is busy with small shoulders.
AC worked great but there was also 2 ceiling fans as an option.
Great to hear the ocean at night...
Thanks

We had just spent 10 days north of San Jose at a house with 7 other people so before leaving Baja we wanted a couple of quieter days to ourselves. We are not "all inclusive resort" people but wanted to be on the water not far from the airport and we didn't want to keep out car. We went to San Jose a couple of days before we needed the room and were very happy when we found Casa Costa, a lovely maintained property with 15 rooms. The room that we were shown and rented was extremely good size, very clean with a beautiful tiled bathroom with large shower, a refrigerator and a lovely deck looking out to the water. An excellent breakfast was included every morning and the staff could not have been better, so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner also but within 1/4 mile along the beach either way you can find restaurants that you can also eat at that aren't all inclusive.

Room Tip: Go for the ocean view rooms

Nice room with old Mexico ambience, good balcony view of beach. Chef cooked a superb roosterfish Veracruzana for us after our fishing trip. Unlike some reviewers, I found the ocean flat and fine for swimming. Also Ok for snorkeling in morning before wind starts. Barely enough surf for a brief beach break body surf ride. Owners' son very helpful in suggesting where to go, as we booked the trip on the spur of the moment and didn't have a real itinerary.

Room Tip: Four rooms directly face ocean and farthest from the street. Probably most expensive. No elevator

What a great little gem! Family owned and operated, 15 pristine rooms with sea views and breezes. Breakfast each day is included in your daily rate. Lunch and dinner are also available on site. The shrimp diablo and veracruzana were so delicious we had them twice for dinner. The beach is lovely and actually swimmable. You can walk to Zippers. The only downside is traffic noise but for the price and hospitality you don’t mind.
