Husband brought me here to celebrate my 40th birthday just him and I for a nice relaxing mini getaway. This was a perfect place for me. I enjoyed everything about this hotel. All COVID precautions are being done here from the moment you walk in the hotel. Was really worried about the breakfast buffet and how they will do it safely, but dang they did it perfectly. Take a look at all the pictures I took from the breakfast buffet. First of all, all the staff are wearing masks, eye wear, and gloves. You don’t serve your self they will come serve you. They clean the table and sanitize the chairs between each party. When we first walked in you are welcomed by Jose the restaurant manager; very friendly and you can feel the welcoming spirit as if he is literally welcoming you into his own home. You can totally feel the love. Andri Cruz the kitchen manager would come around and make sure you’re happy and to see if there is anything you need. I did ask him for a strawberry Nutella crepe and they had no strawberries, but Andri did not want to disappoint me, so he went and got me strawberries. Then Gerardo made me the best strawberry Nutella crepe. Omg then there was the omelette station, Alan, is seriously an artist when it came to make an omelette. He made the omelette into a burrito stuffed with all the toppings that you chose. Seriously so yummy! Our waiter was Leobardo and he was amazing!! On his day off he handed us over to another wonder waiter, Lugardo. This was all in the La Plaza Buffet.
Lunch buffet was at Hacienda and that was whatever nothing to talk about.
Pool side tacos at the Baja Bar by the adult pool were phenomenal and that’s where we had lunch daily. Never got sick of those tacos because they were delicious.
The French restaurant for dinner was also whatever. Felt like all the food was very bland needed seasoning all around. The Dozo Restaurant At the Tepanaki table was the best one.
The one thing I really want them to get better at is the desserts. Not one dessert was good :/ there was a few “ok” ones but nothing to say omg get me more. They need a good pastry chef to come in here and teach them how to make good desserts because they need all the help they can get in that department.
Overall, I will definitely be back here and will bring the kids next time.
