I had a 3 night stay last weekend. The reception was nice and the bell boy, Gerry, was very helpful in getting a new safety box sent to my room, when the 1st one wasn't working. My room had a nice view of half the cathedral in the Zocalo. In the restaurant, I had a great breakfast for 80 pesos, chosen from a number of menu options. The issues that I had with my stay were (a) The walls between rooms were very thin, (b) on my third night, I had no sleep at all, due to other guests knocking on each other's doors, slamming them, talking loudly in the corridor (echoes) between 10pm and 02.30 am. What is wrong with these people? Go to bed and be quiet!
I had to get up at 3 am to get to the bus station, so no sleep for me. Grrr!
So, in summary, I would not recommend this hotel due to the above issues. The hotel staff are alright, so they cannot be at fault for this. It's just the way things are at this hotel.More
