Lovely Cove with great boulders for children to climb on. Cafe does great coffee. Cake was rather dry but they did change it when we asked.

Christmas Day Walk - I spent Christmas in Mousehole and walked to Lamorna Cove on Chrismas Day (armed with saffron buns and hot thermos!). The walk seemed to take a year and a day, but I was befriended by sheep and People of the Road on the way, and charmed by the little waterwheel and daffodils outside Lamorna. Needless to add, the weather was 'brisk' at the Cove, but I felt very energised by the crashing of the waves. It seemed a wild place (although most locals were in the pub) and definitely at the tip of England. It probably fulfills the Cornwall image of Daphne du Maurier....shades of smugglers coves, shipwrecks, life boats, flares, lanterns, mining explosives and so forth. Give it a try as it is in a beautiful part of the world (but take your buns and thermos on Christmas Day as the pub closes early)..........

A return visit - the ghastly café and menacing car park are still there. What a shame in such a beautiful place. We return out of a sense of nostalgia rather than a real desire to see the Cove. A real disappointment.

The road to Lamorna Cove must be one of the most narrow ever. And there was so much oncoming traffic that it took us about 30min alone to go from the larger B-road between penzance and land's end down to the inn.
But after successfully securing the last free spot on the parking lot by the sea (limited space!!!) We started a fantastic walk along the South West Coastal Path heading towards the lighthouse and enjoyed great views along the way.
The way back to the B-road was easier as the oncoming traffic kindly let us pass by at the very tricky spots. If not for that narrow winding road we would be back to beautiful Lamorna Cove any time.
