We ate here on a Friday night following a recommendation from the local owner of the apartment we had rented. It is not a large restaurant and I would advise you to book. Several people were turned away and that would be very disappointing as the food, atmosphere and lovely laid back service are excellent. We stuck to Corsican dishes - wild boar stew, veal in a tomato and olive sauce and a delicious fiadone (brocciou cheesecake with lemon) and a soft chestnut cake with cream. Their own vin d'orange (made with red rather than white wine) and a pichet of local red wine complimented our meat perfectly.
The service is gentle and humorous and we had a lovely evening.

We ate here because we wanted to try some local Corsican food. Very nice atmosphere and the proprietor is funny and charming. We were dining with kids and everyone was very accommodating. The house wine was excellent and it was nice to be in Patrimonio, which is less crowded and busy than St. Florent down the road.

Don't be fooled by the exterior - this is the real thing as far as food and welcome are concerned. No menu of the day, but carefully selected, locally sourced, freshly cooked dishes. This was genuinely the best meal we had in our week's stay in the area, and we were sorry to have discovered this place only on our last day. Service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The dining room is not large, but tables are not squeezed in so you feel you have privacy. We had the fish soup and boar stew which were just amazing and the local dessert of Fiadone is to die for. Good local wines too (this is Corsican vineyards country). All excellent value and quality.

(We had previously tried the Bartavin listed as the No 1 restaurant in the village, but as far as we were concerned, it's only No 1 because of the view - food was disappointing and came cold!)
