I'm very satisfied with my stayed at Hotel Rincon. The evening male receptionist was professional and transparent with the check-in process.

The junior suite was clean and the bed mattress was super comfortable, most excellent!

When I get back to Chicago, I would like to purchase a mattress just like the one at the hotel.

Hot water was made available to me instantly! The hotel zone is nice, safe and quiet. Very nice Rincon!

Better yet, Hotel Rincon has affordable accommodations!

Thank you for your good service!

Annie

I chose the Hotel Rincon Real for the location and because it had a pool/hot tub. Due to construction the pool area was closed. The pool water looked green with algae.
The construction was very loud and started early in the morning. Very noisy!
We arrived late (nearly midnight). They were closing up the parking area. The young man behind the check in desk seemed unaware of our reservation. I had to show him the confirmation I had printed before he looked again and found it. He led us to our room, which was 2 story with a kitchen and living room on the lower level and a bedroom/bathroom upstairs. We didn't use the downstairs area, though the couches were comfortable. Lugging luggage upstairs (with NO RAILING) was difficult.
Beds were quite comfortable, though the room was very stuffy. Only one window. Bathroom setup was odd. I never did figure out the water heater setup.
Restaurant was OK. I thought continental breakfast was included in our room, but was mistaken. Prices were reasonable. The waiter spoke no English, and assuming I spoke no Spanish, he simply avoided me. I loved the poster-sized photos of old Durango hanging on the walls.
The computers in the lobby area were very old and slow. Only one seemed connected to the internet. When trying to contact a local business, I asked for help from the front desk. They seemed bothered by my request and were not at all helpful.
After 2 nights, we needed to check out early to drive to our next destination. The front desk clerk seemed bothered by this request. They also asked for me to bring the 3 remote controls down from the room to check out. Nothing about this had been mentioned before.
Overall, it was a decent experience. I really needed some time in a hot tub to relax. Next visit to Durango, I'd pay a bit more for a hotel with better customer service.

We stayed at the Rincon Real on Easter weekend. More than anything, I want to comment on the staff who were so warm and helpful in what turned out to be a very stressful time.

Chef Daniel, who was in charge on Easter Sunday, requires special mention. He was such a caring person and spoke very good English. When my husband required emergency medical attention, he took care of us...drove us to one of the best hospitals in Durango and stayed with us until a diagnosis was made. He made us feel safe in a new city and for that we are very grateful.

Manager Arturo was very helpful also. His English was good.

The hotel was clean. Although our room was a bit dated, it met our needs. The dining room and pool area had some updates and were nice. The food was good.

Thank you to all the staff at the Rincon Real. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: We had a junior suite which was very roomy. The kitchenette was minimally appointed. The exercise room was next door. The pool was in another part of the hotel.

This place looks like it was once very nice. However maintenance is lacking, the furniture is old and stained. Rooms include a kitchenette however the plates and cutlery in the room I stayed were covered in a layer of grease and dirt. With no cleaning products supplied this meant I avoided using the facilities. The bathroom was also not very clean, particularly the shower. The towels and sheets were clean but very old and worn, particularly the sheets which were so thin you could see the mattress through them. Wifi is available but kept dropping out in my room meaning I had to sit outside to use it. For the price I expected a lot more. There are cheaper options nearby which are much better.
On a positive note the gym equipment is modern and pretty good.
