“Fairly good”
Review of Shuangqiao Valley

It is much better than changping valley nearby. This is not a very crowded place, which is good for visitors. After the 2008 earthquake, the original road connecting Siguniang Mountain and Chengdu collapsed, and had not yet recovered yet. Tourists need to take a very very long contour. Originally 200km, and now 500km.

At the final stop of the shuttle bus in the valley, you have a good view of a snow mountain, which I don't know the name. You can walk around to see firs, yaks, etc.

In the middle of the valley (the shuttle bus will stop at some place for kayaking along the river), do not take the kayak, and do not continue on the shuttle ride. Do get off the shuttle, and walk on the trail along the small river. It is about 1 mile long. The landscape along the trail is stunning. Yaks feed on a very large green grassland! Unbeatable view! Must see!

Nice for a lazy day trip wit nice scenery. Take to opportunity to walk a bit around every time the bus stops, if your bus leaves just take the next one.

If you want to do some trekking choose one of the other valleys.

No cars are allowed in the Valley. National Park buses take you to the end of the valley, approximate non stop time is 45 minutes, 18 miles to the end. On the way back the bus stops at many great scenic spots: Total minimum time 2 1/2 hours. I would recommend taking an extra hour at the end of the valley, and or walking between "bus stops". This is a great 1/2 event that can be done after arriving in Rilong around noon.
