We just had an afternoon here so it was a little rush. Entrance fee is CNY80 + CNY70 for the shuttle bus ride.

Many shuttle buses ply along the 5 stops going all the way into the fifth stop at 3800 m first. Commentary is in Chinese about the nature reserve and the mountains. You could spend as much time as you wish at each of the stops and then hop on to the next departing bus.

The scenery was really awesome. We wished we could have spent the whole day here to enjoy the place. One of the stops is for visitors to take a river raft to the next stop. You will need to pay the operators over there. Animals also roam freely in the park. This is an attraction not to be missed if you are visiting this area.

Instead of taking the official park route, we agreed with a local villager to drive us to the top (300rmb) we got a very bumpy ride to the top of the mountain, great experience and beautiful sights at the top and on the way. For if you have limited time (3 hours up and down and stayed an hour for a walk at the top) a good option and maybe supported the local economy.

You can go by bus between different stations -OR:
Start early and go by bus all the way up. Get off and walk all the way back. This is by far the most beautiful walk I have ever done. Early morning is cold and you can for sure need both drinks, food and sunblock.
The walk will take many hours to complete, due to a lot of stops for photos. Also the path are destroyed in sections by weather and landslips. Along your way you have to both climb and wade through some parts. There are cows walking freely, and most of them wont bother you, but we actually was chased by a bull and three cows. We had to throw ourselves over a fence to get away.
My son (17) and I walked all the way (full day) and had our best memory ever. Highly recommend it to anyone who can. If you get tired along the way it is easy to hop on the bus at several points.

A truly beautiful valley. Soaring snow capped peaks, waterfalls everywhere you look, green flower covered grasslands, lakes, and rivers.

I'd recommend taking the bus to the top of the park and following the boardwalk all the way down. We had the whole place to ourselves once we were away from the bus stop, everyone else preferring to take the bus which stops at various points throughout the valley. The only fresh food available at the time we went was Chinese BBQ and wild mushroom and gourd soup. Both delicious and not badly priced. There's also the option to buy instant noodles but if this isn't your thing take food with you.

You can walk the majority of the park in one long day (we did around 7-8 hours leisurely walking). As it was getting near to closing we were made to get on a bus by a park worker to the final stop before the entrance but by this point we had seen most of the best parts of the park. Do get out at the final stop before the park entrance though, as it's a beautiful grassland valley with a river running through it.

Note that it appeared that there wasn't a footpath between the final stop and the park entrance which would leave you walking down the road with buses going past you. Most of this last bit is in a long tight ravine without views so you're not missing out by taking a bus here. Also some sections of the boardwalk were closed when we were there. Heavy rain had caused the river to swell and damage and submerge parts of the boardwalk. You can choose to navigate around the barriers but do so at your own risk.

Shuangqiao Valley is one of the three parks here at Mt, Siguniang. They run buses in the park to drop you off at each "tourist site" and you get on the bus to drive to the next one. It takes around 4-5 hours to do the visit. It is a very nice park with great views of peaks and glaciers.
