Tranquility and calm as soon as you enter the room. Lovely base for exploring the area and returning too. Nice walk down to the beach and village. Very well equipped, lovely touches on arrival. Friendly owners. Wouldn't hesitate to book again if we are ever holidaying in that part of the country.
Only downside door handles all stiff and squeaky, hard to be quiet if you were first up.

We stayed for 3 days in the Burton apartment, with a fantastic 180 degree sea view from the lounge. The apartment had a large lounge/kitchen, double bedroom and spacious bathroom with large shower and bath. The apartment is very light & airy, with large tilt or slide windows. The kitchen is well equipped with enough plates etc.. for 4 people. The bedroom faces towards the road and does get the noise from passing traffic.
The lodge is only 50 yards from the coastal path and the Hive Cafe is only a 5 minute walk away, across the fields. Ideally situated for walking, we did the walk east to Abbotsbury which is fairly flat and West to Charmouth, which is pretty hilly.
Would definitely return to Chesil Beach Lodge.

We arrived after a horrible 6 hour journey, but immediately felt calm and relaxed with the peace and quiet and sound of the sea.we were 2 Hours early for booking in,but our room was ready and our hosts showed us to our b and room.
The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with enough space for us and our 2 dogs. The bathroom had a powerful shower with plenty of hot water and was impeccably clean. There was tea and fresh coffee and biscuits and an array of cereals with fresh milk in the fridge.A lovely set table was in front of a balcony with French doors, when opened you had wonderful sea views from every angle.we slept with doors open and the sound of the sea was calming and very tranquil, the resident chickens were even quiet the whole time.
You saw the hosts as often or little as you wanted, but nothing was too much trouble for them.
Breakfast is served in your room and was absolutely beautifully presented and was hot and delicious. The eggs from the chickens were delicious and poached to perfection, nothing to fault at all.
There was an enclosed garden for the dogs with a gate that led to the hive beach cafe, you get a ten pounds voucher for breakfast at the hive beach cafe Monday Wednesday and the breakfast here is amazing as well and also very dog friendly. The attention to detail and beautiful rooms could well deserve chesil beach lodge 5 stars. We would highly recommend staying here, either in the bed and breakfast accommodation or self catering, which looked just as luxurious and beautiful.Considering chesil beach was fully booked, there was no noise at all and all guests and dogs were very considerate of others.Cyril and Linda should be very proud of what they have achieved here .
Five star accommodation with the most stunning views.

Just gut back from a great week at Chesil Beach Lodge.
I went with family so we had 2 self catering apartments, Chesil & Fossil.

Chesil is a beautiful well equipped 2 bed apartment. The views are stunning esp as it's on the first floor.

Fossil is on the ground floor. Has a sun room and decking straight into the shared garden. We used the sofa bed for our kids (babies are not allowed in this room FYI) and it was a comfortable sleep.

The location is great, we visited different towns and villages and didn't need to go more than 25mins in the car. West bay was great for lunch, ice creams & crabbing.

We received a warm welcome at the lodge and made good use of the well stocked honesty bar.

Cannot fault our stay and would highly recommend.
