Owner description: Scenic highway cutting through breathtakingly beautiful mountain passes.

Did this drive with family of four from Canmore. Will take a good 2 hours each way but well worth it. We turned around at the Athabaskan Glacier. Incredible views both ways with lots of great picture opportunities.

This was quite an experience to thunj you were actually walking on the glacier. The set-upis very well run though I would have like more time on the glacier.I was expectng it to be very slippery but it was ok. Sadly I think thr glacier will be gone as it has already shrunk a lot in size.

This has to be a contender for the most scenic drive anywhere. It can take us nine hours just to get from Lake Louise to Jasper. Mountains, Glaciers, lakes, rivers, waterfalls and wildlife, it has it all. Many of the main attractions are by the roadside or just a short walk away, it has so many wonders, keep your concentration and your camera handy. Take your time and enjoy the sights.

Many people love Jasper park, why, because the love start from the Ice field parkway. start from Banff side, once you are off highway, and enter the park way, the road become narrow, and you start to feel you are in the wild. During the summer, there is always a black mother bear and her cub staying next to the road, May people stop to take picture of them. Continue driving, you will see the highest fall in the Rocky-Athabasca Fall. After the fall, the famous Columbia ice field and the sky walk. The ice field make it's own weather, it is extremely windy and cold in the winter, even summer, it is cold too. May people in summer time, drive close to the glacier, and have a walk on the ice. That is the experience you rarely can get anywhere else. If you want to go the the sky walk, need to take their tour bus, it is open only in the summer, and is very busy. Walk on the glass bottom bridge, the canyon is right below your feet.
