Owner description: When you have the choice of everything from a thundering steam train to antique midway rides to beautifully preserved heritage buildings and homesteads, deciding what to do first isn't easy. Located in Calgary, Alberta, Heritage Park is Canada's largest living history museum, with hundreds of exhibits, rides, shops, restaurants and daily demonstrations and activities to keep the young and the young-at-heart captivated in the past. No two days at the Park are the same, so come back as often as you like for a history lesson you won't find in any textbook. Our operating season is from mid-May to early October each year.

At Heritage park you can tour so many old homes and businesses. It really gives you an opportunity to learn about our city's history and the people who made Calgary what it is today. Be sure to visit, the candy store, the bakery and my Great Grandfather's old pool hall. A must see if you are a local or for anyone visiting Calgary.

Could spend more time here but only had four hours. Lots of walking on a hot day. Tons to see and great for families wide open spaces that you can enjoy at your own pace

Heritage Park provides a place to take the family to take a look at history, and receive stories of the past. It also has the immensities that keep kids engaged and active. The more recent addition of the Kinsmen Club of Calgary Playground with a perfect backdrop of the Glenmore reservoir and mountain scene is a great way to wrap up the day with the kids playing. Best value for your dollar!

This is a deceiving place. It has many activites, while not thrill seeking, it has many activities for kids and adults. They have rides that are for whole family, right down to a mini ferris wheel for those under 3. The train ride and paddle boat ride are big hits in our family, as is the relatively brand new kids playground by the fort. We usually bring a wagon and a picnic lunch, but always stop for a treat at the bakery. We get an annual pass, as it is better value for money
