We came in right before the dinner rush and got seated promptly. We ordered wonton soup, pork dumplings, house rice, chicken chow mein and chicken vegetable. Everything was just tasty and came out quickly. Our server suggested we try the pepper and salt squid special....so we did. We were not disappointed with it. It was cooked so well and seasoned perfectly. Every dish was perfectly executed and very delicious. We love coming here to eat!!

We ate three dishes for dinner: sauteed squid, fried rice and "mixed vegetables with Chinese mushrooms." But the mixed vegetable turned out to be all one vegetable - Chinese broccoli. As well, we think there were many specials one could order but they were listed in Chinese, not English. The prices were higher than in neighboring restaurants like Ho Won and Court Restaurant. We probably won't return to the Golden Inn.

We wanted an early meal before heading out to the airport. This place opened at 4 and had good reviews so we tried it. Meal was good and service attentive. Reasonably priced too. Server told us we were ordering too much as good sized portions so we cut one dish from our order. He was right - we had ample food and it was good.

The Golden Inn is traditional Cantonese food at its best. This is old school Chinese and it reminds a lot of people food that their parents use to make at home. Granted it might not suit everybody's palates, but for people who really enjoy 'authentic home cooking' this place is a must.
Beef and gai lan is a favourite by everybody but salt and pepper crab or crab with ginger and green onions is for the more adventurous. Bear in mind, crab is not easy to eat and it generally cause a mess, so if you don't want to get your fingers dirty, don't order crab.
Cantonese beef tenderloin is delicious and ask for a whole pickerel fish with ginger and onions. It's not on the menu but it is worth trying if you like fish.
We go out of our way to visit Golden Inn whenever we can and I can say without reservation that it is worth visiting.

Me and my wife have been here for lunch and we had good food, only 3 star because we had better food in Chinatown just few steps away not because here was bad. Sure better choices around but anyway not bad experience here.
