i am currently staying at the jasper lodge for a conference. i am shocked that there is no aircondition!!! its over 30 degrees in the day and 21degrees at night and the rooms are at 85 degrees F. its impossible to sleep as its too hot. they suggest keeping ur doors open to let air circulate which basically means that anyone walking by can see me sleeping in my underwear. totally ridiculous. do not visit in summer unless you are ok with no air condition!!

Apart from the culpable lack of A/C in the bedrooms this place has it all with its beautiful setting and facilities.

However, with the exceptions of the valet service, Housekeeping and Maintenance, each of which operated to a good standard, the other departments were typified by mainly keen young people who were amateurish, careless and thoughtless. It felt like being in a hotel being run by high school kids who had no training.

The long catalogue of bungling incompetence was exemplified at a late supper. The keen server volunteered that our main courses would be served shortly as she had (cleverly) put in our order soon after the order had been taken. This raised expectations that were horribly dashed by interminable delays. And one dish, when it finally arrived was an inedible travesty of a foreign cuisine. The manager brightly saved the evening, he thought, by offering to send to our room "right away" some hot chocolate and cookies. We retired hopefully but after waiting a forlorn 45 minutes asked to see the duty manager. She came to the room, listened apologetically and said she would get this sorted. We gave her a short time in which to deal with this. Needless to say, nothing useful happened so we called her back and cancelled the hot chocolate stating we did not want to be disturbed. We placed a Do Not Disturb hanger outside our door. Within maybe 10 minutes our peace and quiet was disturbed by a knock on the door that we ignored, hoping the person knocking would realise that actually we did not want be disturbed. But the knocking continued. We answered the door and asked if he had seen the Do Not Disturb hanger and if he knew it's intended meaning. He claimed he saw it and understood it and then apologised but proferred his tray of nice nibbles (which it was now too late for us to enjoy) plus some sachets of powdered chocolate mix so we could boil a kettle etc. Not surprisingly we politely declined this absurdity. Not their finest couple of hours?

Absolutely loved our three night stay here at the lodge. We stayed in a Junior suite with two double beds, a sitting room with fireplace, TV and couch. The sitting room was very handy as I was able to get up early and read or watch TV without disturbing my wife and daughter who like to sleep in. There are a number of nice trails around the lodge which I enjoyed each morning. I saw Elk, Geese and Loon's each morning on my walk. Beautiful view of the mountains right from the lodge. Ate the breakfast buffet all three days at Orso Trattoria as it was included in our room rate. Food was excellent with lots of good choices including an omelet station.
Very impressed with the lodge staff. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready yet. Without asking, the manager provided three free drinks and appetizers for us, which was very much appreciated. They have canoe and kayak rentals on site which is nice though we did not utilize them as the weather was cold during our stay. We did take a horseback ride from the on site stable and enjoyed it very much. The guide, Jessie was very helpful and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend the lodge and hope to return some day.

This hotel is located in Jasper Park.
The lake is clear, clean and serene.
The kids that work there are so friendly and helpful.
Restaurants are fantastic especially Breakfast Buffet.
We were here 2 nights on a tour, but would love to come back for a week.
