Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great little cafe "Wicked Cup" attached to hotel. The hotel itself looks a little tired but clean and comfortable enough. I recommend to ask for a room that doesn't look over the pool. It has a chemical smell.

I rented a family room for 2 nights with a kitchenette in May 2018.

We were assigned Room 100. Upon entering the room, despite a ceiling fan was running 24-hour in the living area, we felt very hot. When we entered the bedroom, we found a mobile air conditioner installed there with exhausting pipe lying across the sofa fixing onto the wall, the entire room was just like a burner after it had been switched on continuously for 2 hours. The only window (the size of it was about 2’ x 4’) of the entire room was on the same wall of the exhausting pipe opened to the roof of the adjacent building.

The room was just like a store room and was not habitable !

Room Tip: Must refused Room 100 and any room facing the west

We stayed in 5 hotels in two weeks, and this was probably my favourite. Its located just out of downtown, but not a far walk. It's a motel-outdoor-plaza style. We had a corner room on the ground level. It was very large (we had a two bedroom), nice and clean, had a full kitchenette, lots of space and storage. The beds were big and comfortable. There was a great indoor pool and a simple outdoor hot tub. My favourite part was that there were deer grazing directly across from the hotel one evening! The staff were nice and everything was easy and good. Great place!

We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. Easy to find as you enter Jasper from Banff, very friendly and welcoming staff, great pool and hot tub and the comfy beds and great facilities in our room meant we voted this hotel one of the best during our two week trip around Canada. Great location, easy walk into the town, lovely shops and places to eat.

Check in was at 4:00pm, we got there at 4:20....room wouldn’t be ready for another 1/2 hr. We waited in the car for a bit and walked around until we could get into our room.
The room looked like it had been updated and wasn’t too bad. The hotel grounds were in need of repairs and updating. The indoor pool was nice but really cold. Hot Tub was ok but not very hot. The restaurant was ok and the gift store attached to the restaurant was really cool.
Price was reasonable.

Good Morning Deedoo12,

We thank you for taking the time to submit a review of the Maligne Lodge following your recent trip through Jasper. We do apologize for your having to wait for your room for a few minutes but at this time of year, it does get very busy and we occasionally do run a little late particularly when previous guests request for a late check-out time. Hopefully, upon your next visit, you will not have to experience such a delay and again, we appreciate your comments and thank you for submitting them to us.
