Definitely have mixed feelings about this lodge. It is located about 50km from Jasper so not exactly convenient, but if you want a remote place, this would be it.
Well maintained and clean. All log type cabins connected together into blocks.
The restaurant was nice but fairly expensive - Went for breakfast about 25 minutes before closing and they were pretty much out of everything, and not interested in refilling anything. Staff were friendly.
The room that we had was tiny, but nice. There aren't TV's in the rooms (again, if remote is what you want, this is it).
Biggest problem was the noise due to everything being wood. On the shared walkway outside of the connected rooms every step that anyone outside takes echoes into every room, voices from both outside of the rooms and from the rooms next door are clearly heard.
Amazing views from the site surrounding the lodge.
As I said, definitely mixed feelings - depends on what you are looking for.

My husband and I spent a weekend at Overlander Mountain Lodge in Oct 2016. We enjoyed ourselves so much we immediately booked a Chalet for Thanksgiving Oct 2017. Chalet #140 was perfect for our family of eight. While some people with extremely high standards would say the chalet is looking dated, our family is not concerned with the decor. Everyone in our family had a comfortable bed with all the comforts of home in a clean, well maintained chalet. I'm very particular about beds and I slept well as if I was in my own bed. We cooked a turkey for Thanksgiving and while I brought my own roaster for the turkey, the kitchen was fairly well stocked for everything else. The kitchen could use more serving/mixing bowls and pots and pans but when we found we were missing oven mitts and the coffee maker wasn't working, Overlander staff were very quick to respond to our needs. There was adequate parking for 3 vehicles and the best part was being able to enjoy the outdoors around Overlander including a trip to Miette Hotsprings. The only downside was that the dishwasher broke, but I can't fault Overlander for not getting that repaired on a holiday weekend. Overall, we had such a wonderful time that we would book this exact Chalet again.

Second time I've stayed here primarily because hotels in town (Hinton) were sold out. Was here on business trip but had plenty free time to enjoy the beautiful park. The facility is definitely not conducive to business travel- although WiFi is adequate there are no land line phones or TVs in most rooms. I stayed in the main lodge which is above the restaurant during my first stay - just last month - and found it to be more convenient than being in one of the out cabins. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Food is great - breakfast is lame but otherwise dinners are good. Views of the mountains are also great. Noise from Hwy 16 not so great!

Dear Sparky92350,
Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We do ensure guests are aware that we are a limited-technology lodge, so that our guests can truly enjoy a quiet, unplugged mountain experience. While we do use the best internet provider available in the area, the mountains do sometimes make it difficult for the signal to come through.
We do apologize for the noise you experienced at night, and are happy you were able to enjoy your stay otherwise!
We hope to welcome you back a third time for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Sincerely,
Cory LeDrew
