The soups are fabulous, as are the grilled sandwiches especially the chicken cordon bleu sandwich and - well all of them. My favourite soup is the borscht . Delicious. Portions are very big,

Better alternative then many of the chain options around and they still make many things in house, but breads are sourced from Winfield bakery which are still very good. Cafeteria style lunches with decent price points. Mornings have limited food options but lunches are still a pretty big hit here. For a sandwich shop it is still pretty good but I find service a bit spotty at times. 3.5 stars rounded up. Will see how the next visit goes.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch; I had the vegetarian deli sandwich and clam chowder and he had the veal.

The clam chowder was amazing! I would go back JUST for the chowder! The sandwich was loaded with veggies (green peppers, tomatoes, & lettuce); it also had cheese on it. The veggies were so in abundance actually that I took some off.... more doesn't mean better. My husband said his veal was good and it came with sauerkraut.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is okay. It's busy and it isn't a place where you actually sit and get table service; you actually stand in a line and order from an overhead menu. They then put it together for you and then you seat yourself. This isn't bad, just something to note if you're looking for more of a sit down place.

This is the second time we have gone here and will likely go ahead. The menu is all delicious German food that is a really nice change from the norm.

This place is not a restaurant, but closer to a bakery/cafeteria with hearty food.

We always have pork hock and sausage with sauerkraut and onions; we are told the other dishes are good, too. No espresso though even though they advertise this on their signs.

Lately, we have found the food mediocre and the room cold in winter. The buns are not morning-fresh (Costco?) and this is a bakery! The onions are undercooked. Prices and portions are very reasonable. Counter service is helpful.
