Best trip ever! Beaches were stunning, great camping sites, food was amazing. Planning on more summer trips with WildHeart in the future. Kim and Emy were most helpful, fun to be with and made sure our safety was number one concern. They went over and above to make our trip memorable! Met some great people in the group. So happy to have discovered this beautiful spot in my province.

Great Gulf Island tour. Thanks to our guide Nick for all the paddling tips (I'm now channeling the Klingon war blade!), the great stories and the awesome cooking. Also thanks to Kim for answering our numerous questions and accommodating our requests. See you again in the spring for the Johnson Straight tour.

Thank Dave K

This is the second time in 10 years I have done the 3 day Johnstone Strait trip, first in 2007 and then again in 2017. Both trips we were able to kayak with the Orca's every day and this trip with a humpback and minke whale as well. The highlight of the trip was seeing my now adult son's faces when the Orca's were approaching. The guides, food, weather and other activities, such as fishing and hiking were awesome. I would recommend this to everyone and if I did it again I would for sure do the 6 day tour.

I cannot recommend this highly enough- we are a family of 5 (3 boys of 14, 17 and 19)- this 3 day, 2 night trip was truly magical- utterly fantastic- we saw Killer whales all 3 days (probably 30 in all) and, as we canoed, we had 4 come up around us within 10 metres- a truly life-changing moment. Kim was great and his number 2, Ava, was brilliant- they are a great tag team- talking about the wildlife, the marine life and their habits. the camping was very comfortable and the food was fabulous. This 3 days was, for us, one of the most special experiences of our family life- it really was!

A great paddle on the coast off of Nanaimo. Lots of wildlife, a fantastic scenery, and an amazing lunch!

Kim was a fantastic guide, with advice on what to do and see on the island as well as a superb ability to make details of the surrounding wildlife and scenery come alive with a gesture and a few words.
