You can't go wrong with Rosewood hotels- their service is always exceptional. The room was super big, yet cozy. And the bathroom...wow. I would definitely takes notes from them on design if I was remodeling a bathroom. Lighting, shower, bath- were all perfect. (Those are hard details to get perfect in a hotel.) Internet was flawless which should be an expectation in 2012, but I'm still surprised this isn't the case at some of the nicest hotels.
Everyone who works here wants to help you so it really makes your travels effortless.
The room service food was pretty good, but sometimes they forgot the little things such as sugar and milk with tea or water without ice. Very minor though and I'm sure if I called to let them know, they would have jumped to it quickly.
I was here on business, but I would definitely bring my family here as a stop over to Whistler. It seemed there were a lot of travelers doing that.

Stayed at the Rosewood Hotel March 17-21/2012 for a long weekend getaway. First off I must say the service is above and beyond all expectations. The concierge service is superior. From evening turn down service to room service everthing will exceed your expectations. All the staff are very friendly and not pretentious. The rooms are beautiful-very well designed and the interior is classic design. The beds are the best I have ever slept in a hotel setting, very lofty with the feather bed.The bathrooms with dual vanities, rain shower, heated floors and beautiful bathtub one could not ask for more. Even a blowdryer with a diffuser for the people with curly hair! They have thought of everything. We stayed in room 504 with a wonderful view of the Vancouver art Gallery. This is a prime location to stay with all the great shopping within walking distance. Would stay there again in a heartbeat and we will be back!

Thank you for your kind comments.

We did a lot of planning when we at Rosewood assisted in the planning for the rooms product.

We know it is the little things that matter when the traveller stays at a hotel. You found all those "little things" that helped make your stay memorable.

Please tell all your friends and make this your Vancouver "home away from home"

Fantastic hotel! Two highlights -the amazing bathrooms & the service. We went for the deluxe room (one step above the basic superior room) because it came with a tub as well as a shower (superior is just a shower). And what a tub it was! It's a huge soaker. The shower is a beautiful walk-in with a rain-shower thing. Dual sinks, separate toilet room. The bathroom was the biggest I've seen in any hotel. And man, I do love a large bathroom :)
The service was impressive. We came with a baby and two dogs -not your most desirable clientele. They didn't even bat an eye. In fact, they genuinely seemed pleased to have us all. We were heading to an appointment early the next day and the front desk folk went way out of their way to find us the shortest route.
The room was beautiful (no signs of wear at all). Great bed, great sitting area. Lighting system (once figured out) was good.
The location was ideal -right downtown. Although, we did have to circle the block a few times before finding the entrance (it is not a grand entrance).

Overall, great experience. We felt like rockstars. We've recommended this hotel to many friends and we'll definitely stay here the next time we're in vancouver.

This hotel has been beautifully and carefully renovated and there has been attention paid to every little detail. I was in a deluxe room which was glorious - mainly for the bathroom, with the deep tub and separate rainfall shower, as well as heated floors. The rooms are smaller than some hotels (due to the historic building) but they are still charming and comfortable. The water and shortbread by the bed when I came in from dinner was particularly welcome. I dined with friends at Hawksworth restaurant and this is an experience not to be missed - fantastic local BC food with some twists - probably the best restaurant in Vancouver currently (and the full English breakfast even included black pudding and a small pot of baked beans - the nearest facsimile I have had in Canada!). The front of house staff were extremely helpful in every way. I am already looking forward to my next visit and trying the outdoor bar in warmer weather.

Many thanks for your review of our hotel.

When we receive these comments we really appreciate each one. We know each guest has a choice of where to stay in our beautiful city and to hear that we exceeded your expectations it is special to each of our 180 team members.

We are also very proud to have such a GREAT chef as David Hawksworth operate both his restaurant and Cafe in our hotel. He has made such a deep positive impression on our guests that many just come for a "Staycation" from their home and spend a few days in the "heart" of our city and stay with us.

Come back soon.
