Fantastic location, wonderful hospitality, clean, bright rooms, and very well set up for families. Ted and Ken will take very good care of you and have lots off sight-seeing advice. Close to grocery stores so you can take advantage of the kitchen. A wide range of dining options nearby. Walking distance to the beach and shopping on Robson St. Pay-per- day off street parking is a huge bonus if you have a rental car.

We had a 2 bedroom suite with an additional room for a total of 7 people. Compared to cost of other hotels, this was very reasonable. If you enjoy staying an a "neighborhood" type of atmosphere, this is the place. Easy to walk to parks and a huge variety of great restaurants and shops nearby. Quite easy to get around on buses if you need but taxi service was a disaster to plan on lengthy waits.
The rooms were comfortable and more in line with a 3.5 to 4.0 star but US standards. The suite was quite large, clean and the pull down bed was easy to use and the whole area quite roomy. The place is generally "outdated" in terms of furniture and appliances so don' expect much there. The elevator is quite small so be patient, especially on cruise days. The other rooms are normal size with basic amenities and outdated furniture. Lastly, since we had a good size kitchen in the suite, we used two markets which were quite close by - less than a 5 minute walk.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you enjoyed the neighborhood and your spacious suite. Apologies about the limited taxi service. Particularly on cruise ship days, there is limited availability and as in any major city a wait is to be expected. We look forward to serving you on your next visit to Vancouver.

Like most reviewers have stated, this is not a 4-5 star hotel with extra amenities but the more we travel the more we enjoy these smaller boutique hotels. Kent and Tag are simply awesome. They have a genuine warmth about them that shows in everything they did for us and I am sure all of their guests. The location of the hotel was perfect for us - you are one block to the edge of Stanley Park and a few blocks to either English Bay or the Vancouver Harbor. I also like the plentiful budget food options up and down Denman street. I must mention that we had booked two rooms for our entire group and neither had air conditioning. We did use their supplied floor standing fans and they did work some but it was pretty hot all the nights we were there (as in too hot to get comfortable enough to go to sleep right away). We opened the windows but they all face the back of the hotel and there was noisy activity every night we were there.

Given the above, I would still recommend Rosellen Suites to anyone because it is a fantastic value, at a fantastic location with fantastic owners and mangers.

Room Tip: I think the lower rooms have Air Conditioning units which might be needed in the summertime.

Thanks for sharing your experience. So glad that you enjoyed your visit, the guest service and the location. Our apologies about the unusual heat wave and noise. Typically, particularly on the back side of the building, the cross breeze from English Bay provides a most comfortable natural "cool" and the neighborhood is most quiet. Your comments and recommendation are most appreciated. We look forward to serving you on your next visit to Vancouver.

Rosellen Suites is about 20 minutes from the airport one way and the docks the other. That's why we picked it. Six of us slept very comfortably in the 2-room, 2 bathroom suite. It's more like an apartment. It was very clean, with plenty of bedding and seating and kitchen amenitites. Both bedrooms and the living room have television with cable.
Rosellen is located in a low-traffic area that seems to be residential, yet is 2 blocks away from the main street, where you can find pizza, burgers, a drug store, and so much more! The other direction it's about 2 blocks from a beach!
The manager was super nice, and we got a call both nights after we checked in to see if we have any questions. The price was competitive, too!
I maybe shouldn't publish this, but I want you to know how friendly and accomodating they are: My husband is disabled, and after the cruise he was in pain and so very tired. It was a few hours before check-in time but I decided to ask anyway-- and they let us check in early to let him rest! They quickly finished a suite for us and let us in. We appreciated it SO MUCH!
I HIGHLY recommend Rosellen Suites, for your one-night or multiple-night stay!

Booked in here for 5 nights after returning from our Alaska cruise. After reading previous reviews we were confident we would be happy here.
We were met by Tag on arrival who made us feel very welcome immediately - full of useful information on tours and local amenities so we were comfortable from the start.
We chose a classic suite and this was very functional and comfortable for the 5 nights we stayed; very clean with plenty of storage space too.
Locally there is so much close by - Safeway supermarket (excellent) is a 10 minute walk, English Bay with its beach and access to the sea wall walk is between 10 and 15 minutes walk. And of course Stanley Park is literally 2 to 3 minutes walk away via its Lost Lagoon.
Another 10 minute walk down to the embarkation point for Prince of Whales trips to Vancouver Island. And, as recommended by Tag, the LandSea tour company buses will pick up from Rosellen Suites too - a real bonus.
Highly recommended as a place to stay in Vancouver.
