what a gem, we especially loved the art deco doors on the lifts. What a great place to have an office.

A really incredible building with a history to match. It is an amazing structure that we luckily happened upon on our way to the Elephant and Castle.

Be sure to see the windows as well.

If you love Art Deco you should visit, it is just beautiful! Doors, intricately tiled floors, wood inlay, even the ceiling, and elevators, it's a work of art... The main color theme is gold. Lighting is rather dark so if you want to photograph take that into consideration.

Observe this lovely 1930 building from the street and you must go inside to see the amazing lobby with elevators...this is a don't miss for residents and visitors.

We came across the maritime building by accident- we were admiring the outside of the building when a really friendly canadian lady who worked there showed us we could go inside to see it- its beautiful, very ornate, and the lifts are beautiful inlaid wood. We went up to the 2nd floor and you get a great view of the frescos close up. The twirling revolving door to get inside is fun too!
