We went for our first time with another couple. The restaurant has recently changed its name and profile from Zest to Yuwa. All four of us were very impressed. The menu was creative, the food delicious, and the cost, though a little expensive was well worth the value. A lovely little setting and not far from where we live. Beside it, there is an ice cream shop, La Glace, that is also amazing.

We haven't been here after the change in executive chef. We came back for a dinner and it was just as good as before. The tapas are creative and sashimi is so fresh.

If you come here, absolutely order the sablefish!! It's so simple yet so delicious. It's pricey but you definitely get what you pay for in quality

Dinner here was the best we had in Vancouver, which is saying a lot. Probably you would need to appreciate Japanese cuisine, especially the seafood end, but if you do you are in for a treat. Much is flown in from Tsukiji, the great Tokyo fish market; things we cannot find in New York's good Japanese restaurants (e.g., monkfish liver) was on order at reasonable prices. You are served as your courses are made, and everything cooked was subtle and delicious. An extensive sake list. What's not to like?
