Description: Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria's BEST IRISH PUB! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights a week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing Irish Pub Food as you would see in Ireland today.

We were there Dec. 26, when there were some after Christmas parties going on, which might be why it was so noisy. You could hardly talk at all. But the service was good and the food excellent. Prices good also, would recommend.

nice pub, nice atmosphere, cute waitresses, a lot of choice of beers. They have canadian beers but also a few french and belgium beers.
When we went there, there was a band playing it was really nice. Normal prices, good service. I put 4 stars not 5 because I didn't try the food but I'm sure is good too.
I defenitely recommend this place!

They have nightly entertainment with no cover charge! Angela Herh will win you over with her singing talents and variety of songs, The Nachos are definitely enough for 3 people, and the pizza is tasty too!

We stopped in for a pint and were welcomed in by some friendly waitresses. There was a large selection of all types of beer on tap. I had a brown ale and my pal had a pilsener. Both were very good. I had the tradition Irish stew, which was excellent !! The decorating and the and the music made for a very nice experience! highly recomend!

Went to the Irish times again with friends and found the staff really good and the food too. Commented previously on the decor which had not changed, but it was still very nice and friendly inside among patrons, but somewhat loud. Hard to hear your friends speak at times, but it's a very social place. Really good for a social gathering, but not a quiet meal.

Hello James,

Thank you for giving us a second chance, I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your recent visit. Our friendly staff is a huge part of what made us "Irish Pub of the Year - North America" for 2017! Next time you visit, ask the host for a table upstairs. It is set away from the hustle and bustle of the main level and a great spot if you are looking to catch up with friends.

Sláinte,

Dylan Hagreen
