Had a great stay. Front office staff were wonderful. Every day there was coffee, hot chocolate and special surprises like candy to end our day on the hill. Not loud with late night revellers and the house cleaning staff were wonderful - thanks to Cathy, Marco and Ryo for clean rooms and the dishwashing was a bonus! The shuttle staff were fantastic and very helpful - thanks to Mike for all the advice.

Stayed 6 nights at the Summit lodge. At first we thought it was far from the centre and quickly realized everything is close. The room was nice and clean. Marco kept it real nice for us all week! Thanks Marco! Every day we stored our skis downstairs and the driver would drop us off at the Blackcomb gondola. Thanks To Mike and Dave for the drives to the hills and back! Always reliable and courteous! Lovely surprises waited for us in the lobby every day....bailey with hot chocolate, mulled wine, the candy assortment and always good coffee! Met a real nice couple from Newfoundland, Shanon and Evan that seemed to like the outdoor hot tub at the sales times as us! All in all, had a great week!

The only recommendation we could make is to add a dishwasher in the room for sanitary reasons.

jamiesondiane1,

Thank you for your review!

It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed your six nights with us - where we are situated, Marco in housekeeping (he's a star!), our shuttle drivers Mike & David, candy corner, mulled wine & coffee/hot chocolate machine.

I would recommend booking our one bedroom suite unit if you are interested in having a dishwasher in the room! Please email me directly if you are planning another trip up.

Sincerely,

Great customer service, nice ambience, friendly and helpful staff, amazing location!!

This is why we stay here whenever we come to Whistler. The hotel is located right across from the street behind the kids playground and Olympic plaza of the Whistler's core fun black bomb area. ALWAYS amazing customer service at this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms facing to the street gets more sun. The pool facing rooms are quieter.

Good location. Clean comfortable rooms. (Nice) free coffee & hot chocolate. Painless/fast check-in. In-house self service laundry room was a plus.

Must also mention the attentive friendly & efficient staff, all of whom appeared to speak fluent Australian. Special thanks to David the houseman for his assistance with some minor issues we had ... but all the staff we dealt with were great really. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a 3rd floor room. There were two lifts so easy/fast access.

From the moment we arrived, we were extremely happy with our choice of hotel for a 10 day first time visit to Whistler. The early check in and a complimentary upgrade to a mountain view room was very welcome, as was the friendliness of all the reception staff.

The hotel is very clean and modern and the hotel room had all the facilities we required, including a small kitchenette, so we could have breakfast in our room.

The heated outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub were also great facilities to help us relax after our energetic days. The reception area coffee machine enabled us to get free hot drinks all day and the afternoon luxury hot chocolate (including complimentary Baileys and toppings), available a couple of times a week, was a lovely touch.

We had not been to Whistler before and were worried that this hotel would be distant from the village, so we were very pleasantly surprised that everything was so close, we could even walk to the Whistler ski gondola within a few minutes. However, it's easier to use the ski shuttle which runs every 10 minutes and our drivers, Mike and David, were very friendly, helpful and always on time.

There are so many restaurants and shops nearby, that make this a wonderful choice of hotel, not in the centre of the noisy village but only minutes from it.

Our only criticism is that the cleaning of rooms is often not completed until late in the afternoon, which was disappointing when returning to our room early from the slopes.

Room Tip: Mountain view rooms have a good view

Ian B,

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review!

It is absolutely fantastic to hear that you enjoyed so many aspects of your stay with us at Summit Lodge - your complimentary upgrade, early check in, our friendly staff, modern design, complimentary coffee/hot chocolate in the lobby, where we are situated as well as our shuttle service (and drivers!).

I will pass on your comments regarding the cleaning time to our housekeeping manager - they do clean the rooms between 8:30am and 4:00pm every day and that can sometimes mean a later clean for certain rooms but I will absolutely pass this information on to them.

I do hope to see you back at the lodge soon!

Sincerely,
