Elegant little cafe. Original menu with a variety of wonderful choices. Superior wait staff. Desserts that melted on the tongue. We had a very leisurely and wonderful lunch at this location. They also drive a unique and much needed charitable service to the local community, to which we happily donated. This venue is one you shouldn't miss.

THis place had a nice atmosphere and good food at a great price. We went for lunch and i had the potato salad with green beans and fennel. Don't tell my sister, but it was better than her potato salad and she is a great cook.
We sat by the window, but even if we hadn't there was lots of natural light coming in, so i think that any table would have been good.
What I liked most it the fact that they hire people and teach them skills to improve their lives.

We came here for lunch after landing in St Johns. After sitting on a plane, this simple to the point meal was perfect. I didn't leave feeling heavy or hungry. I loved it even more after finding out that they do this as a social enterprise to help vulnerable adults and help get them into the food service industry.

The service was really good and the food and atmosphere is perfect. There is a small outside area to eat but we just sat inside by the window. It's a lovely cafe to have lunch. We didn't need reservations or have to wait in line and came in 30 minutes before they were expected to close. We never felt rushed or like we were being waited for. I would say the cost is acceptable and for the cause, I would say that it is well worth paying for.

Would definitely return to have lunch.

We had a very tasty lunch here with excellent service. Actually arrived at 2:30pm, about 30 minutes before they were about to close, but they were very accommodative and we were not rushed at all (the server said they account for potential later arrivals in their closing times). We had a mushroom and kale soup as appetizer which was very clean tasting and had a nice broth. The mains, halibut cheeks and southern platter had excellent flavour, particularly the pickled items in the southern platter. And the desserts, rhubarb pastry and strawberry shortcake, were both refreshing and a great end to our meal. Value was also good considering the freshness and quality of food. Would highly recommend.

To be fair we didn't eat there, because when we asked for a latte we were told they don't have an espresso machine. We were told "Cafe" is a misnomer and they are more of a bistro. They are rated in the top 10 breakfast spots in St John's and I don't know why. They have 3 breakfast items and only drip coffee.

The place looks nice and the person helping me was very friendly, but I would not recommend this as a breakfast destination with so many other choices close by.
