We happened upon this shop while walking around Halifax. The hand written sign saying they serve local beef brisket caught our attention so we ventured down the street to find a busy shop filled with wonderful aromas and tasty food offerings. My apple cheese and bacon sandwich was filling and each of the stated ingredients was well represented. My daughter found the brisket sandwich to be juicy and well seasoned but commented that the bun was disappointing. It would have been better if served on brioche or pretzel rolls.

The lemon gelato was superb, tangy, sweet and creamy..worth going back for another scoop.

Nice place, kindda crowded with stuff and people.
We tried the Gelato which was a nice change from our regular ice cream place.
Looks like a regular hang out for some.
We will be back in the summer for Gelato and a stroll through The Hydrostone.

We recently stopped in for lunch while in the area. We visited the South Park Street location (5 minutes from Spring Garden Road and the Public Gardens). We ordered the soup and sandwich combination - soups were interesting flavours and combinations of curry and vegetables and the sandwiches were a great size and quite filling. The soup and sandwich lunch was a great size. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert. Dessert display looked delicious and there is an extensive list of gelatos available. The location is great if you are walking downtown near Spring Garden Road and you are looking for something different than pub food. There is also a nice kids store next door.
