Many attractions and places are within walking distance from the cruise ships' terminal. This basilica is one of Halifax's attractions. It is a Gothic Revival Catholic cathedral and a National Historic Site which is located in downtown at Spring Garden Road. This cathedral is the largest catholic church in the Archidiocese and was consecrated on October 1899 and made basilica by Pope Pius XII in 1950. Both outside and outside look amazing and interesting. The interior has very attractive stained glass windows, impressive columns and vaulted ceiling. Entrance is for FREE and worth a visit while in Halifax.
