Our room was on the lake side of the hotel and had wall to wall windows for a panoramic view of the harbour. One window actually opened! The bedroom was very clean. The beds were clean and comfortable each with 3 pillows of varying degrees of firmness. Nice touch. The bathroom had a low, very small toilet and low vanity. Lots of hot water in the shower with good water pressure. The bathroom/tub area could have used a light steam cleaning. The reception on the TV was fuzzy and I couldn't correct it. A bar fridge was in the room. Décor is a bit dated and I noticed the wallpaper peeling at the edges in the room next door. Looks like some repairs have been done but with cheap materials and poor workmanship.
We had a good night's sleep however, this is one of those hotels where you hear all the water pipes in the morning - showers, toilets etc.
Checked in for 1 night and paid about $100. The posted room rate is $299 per night. A continental breakfast was included.
It can be a challenge arriving by car as there is only 1 parking spot on the street in front of the hotel for checking in. Note that the parking garage has 6' 0" headroom. If your vehicle is higher you will have to make off-site parking arrangements. There is also an issue with piping in the garage and opening SUV rear doors. See the photo. The hotel charged an additional $15 per night parking.
I would stay at this hotel again with an appropriate rate.

Room Tip: Great views on the "lake side".

Stayed here for one night. The $96 dollar rate and good reviews lured me here. As many state, it’s dated, but very clean and with great views and location. I have stayed at the nearby Delta and Marriott Residence Inn within the past year, and paid more than double than this hotel.

The breakfast was okay.

If they want one area to update, it’s the interior of the elevators. Really, carpet lined handrails? Ha. Easy fix.

Hotel was fine. Great location with view of lake. Parking underground $15 but easy in and out access. Rooms are dated and old but room and beds clean and thats what counts. Breakfast ok nothing special. Free wifi worked well. Would definetly stay again. Paid twice as much for Holiday Inn next door and it wasn't much better!

Came to Kingston for Armstrong’s War at the Grand Theatre. A friend recommended this hotel. The location to the down town core is great. The view of the water is beautiful. And the hotel is clean and comfortable.
All for a good price.
I’ll keep this place on file.
