Description: Carpaccio Ristorante, with its upbeat modern dining room and bar, in the heart of Niagara Falls offers guests the most memorable Italian Cuisine for the whole family. Our menu focuses on the true simple flavours of Italian food. The emphasis is on freshness with seasonal ingredients delivered to our doors daily. Our Chefs use traditional techniques to create dishes with modern appeal! The result is Italian inspired combinations that are comfortably familiar and yet distinctly unique, which has made us the most award winning Restaurant overall in Niagara.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by and extremely friendly staff and then the delightful part came. We have been dining in Niagara Falls for years but this was the best caesar salad we have had. (It is how I judge the quality of the restaurant) The menu had something for everyone in our large group and everyone was totally happy with what they ordered.

Rude staff, tasteless food, unattentive to needs of senior patrons. Meals are overpriced for what you get, have no idea how they have won any awards for food service.

This was our first time back since the renovations, and it certainly looks modern and sleek inside now. The only downside is that it is very noisy if the restaurant is at all busy, and can be difficult to carry on a casual conversation. Bad acoustics coupled with a large party in the front and another in the back conspired to keep the decibel level high.

We had read on their website about two great specials - the $59 date night for 2 with two four course dinners and a bottle of wine on Tuesdays (great value); and the Early Bird dinners which were also four courses if ordered before 6:00 p.m. at $23.95 per person (another great value). We decided to try the 'Early Bird' special having arrived just before 6:00 p.m.

We each had the veal parmesan. Starters were a choice of garlic bread or bruschetta; and appetizers were soup of the day (Minnestone) or the house greens salad. We both enjoyed the salad with the 'bowl' made from two strips of cucumber and included cherry tomatoes, spinach, and mixed greens. Very nice. The main course was a plentiful portion of veal with mozzarella, and home made tomato sauce with a side of spaghetti. Flavourful, hot and delicious. Maybe a little too much sauce on the veal, but that's a minor issue.

Draught beers were 20 oz and reasonable at $5.50 for domestic and $6.25 for imported. I chose the Czech beer in a glass with an hourglass shape - it was excellent.

Included desserts include gelato or tartufo, but for $3 extra can be upgraded to tirimisu or creme brûlée. I chose and enjoyed the creme brûlée; my companion chose the lemon gelato and said it was very refreshing.

Our server provided great service - always there at the right time; helpful and friendly, but not intrusive. She even included a decorated cutting board with candle and writing to accompany my creme brûlée to honour my birthday. Perfect. The General Manager was also in evidence and stopped by a few times during the meal.

The food was great; the service was outstanding; and the new decor (noise level aside) made this look like a brand new upmarket restaurant. The Date Night and Early Bird specials truly are 'special' and give exceptional value. The full menu had a lot of great options (though will come in at a higher price) if you dine after 6:00 p.m.

If you're looking for a great night out with very good Italian food, I don't think Carpaccio's will disappoint.

we had a group of 35 or so. They put us in a private room. The service was very good, atmosphere good and food was really good. No complaints from anyone and that says a lot based on our group.
