A group of 4 of us stayed at this hotel for a long weekend. The hotel is clean, the 2queen bed bedroom was quite spacious. The elevators were really slow. We parked in the underground parking and the elevator didn't come after waiting 10 minutes. Others were there as well and we all decided to walk the stairs instead. It's quite inconvenient for the older people to walk the stairs. On one of the days we were back in the hotel room by 4pm and noticed that the room wasn't cleaned. The housekeeping staff only came to clean around 5:30, which I thought was really late. Caution: The underground parking ramp is quite short and steep. I noticed other drivers also give a sigh of relief after exiting the parking lot. **There's no option to park above ground for overnight parking.
The location was quite good. 10 minutes drive to downtown and within 5 minutes to the Ottawa train yards mall where there's Tim Hortons, Wendy's, etc.

Quite possibly one of the best Courtyard hotels I have stayed in. The room itself was large, well maintained, and the air conditioning was fairly quiet. The staff are reasonably friendly and provide great service. The pool and exercise facility seemed to be very busy, and looked nice. The restaurant was fantastic, as was the breakfast! Very reasonable prices! We will definitely be back!

Stayed here for a weekend for a ball tournament. Checed into the room we booked for the one night, and was told shortly after, that we were going to be bumped out of our rooms we had booked for the following two nights, as they overbooked. Now, they did offer us other alternatives which were okay, but still would have like to have stayed in original booking. Staff was friendly. Elevators here are VERY SLOW! There doesn't appear to be servie elevators for staff, so they use up one of the elevators. Also was very diappointed to receive a staff member comme to the door at 10:20pm with a noise complaint....Saturday at 10:20pm??? Isn't "quiet time" supposed to be starting at 11? I should have mentioned this to him when he came to the door. Also, do not get corner units close to the housekeeping doors and stairwells, as they let the doors slam early in the morning....I also should have mentioned this to the staff!

Room Tip: Choose a lower floor, so you can take the stairs (See review)

We recently spent a long weekend in Ottawa, and decided to stay at the Courtyard on Coventry Road. We were given a first floor room which initially we weren't sure about, but it ended up to be great. It was large, with high ceilings and very quiet. We were a bit worried that the traffic from the road would be noisy but we heard nothing (and I am a light sleeper). The pool area was kept neat and clean, and during our short stay we saw an employee test the water in both the pool and the hot tub, which is nice to see. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working when we were there (the jets worked but the water was not hot). They offered an alternative solution which wasn't the greatest, but they did their best. Breakfast was good but pricey. I would recommend this hotel because of the large, quiet rooms, accessibility to the downtown area, and overall quality is very good.

Basically, it was a good experience to stay here. The room 1233 is a big room for us and the view of outside is very nice, where you can see the baseball field and the highway. We arrived lately, but the assistant at front desk was still energetic and detailedly explained what we need to know for our stay. She also carefully guided us the direction of parking lot. It is very quiet in the midnight and the mattress is comfortable. We were falling asleep very fast.

The bad things came up in the morning. The room is located at the corner of the floor and next to the storage room and the emergency exit. When housekeepers start working, the door of storage room (or the emergency exit) was continuously opened and closed, which is somewhat annoying. Besides, when my wife opened the cap of the body lotion provided by the hotel, there is a tiny hair showing up. Although this stay is over the average of my recent stays at Marriott (positive side), both of us think the hotel should take more care on their room so as to keep the high quality of Marriott.
