I had a cajun chicken panini from here. Totally disgusting and unacceptable in my opinion. Few slices of tasteless chicken in a bare bun with a shriveled up piece of lettuce. Unbelievable that they are serving this garbage and that it is still popular. My wife's ham and cheese croissant was similarly awful. Very disappointed. Service was friendly, to be fair, but terrible food.

Stopped for coffee and pastries in the early evening and came across this cafe. Huge selection of pastries, cakes and breads and all looked so tempting. Opted for chocolate almond croissant and a fresh cream horn. They were beautiful and huge. Tad pricey but worth every bite.

Crossaints are delicious...but the healthy dose of attitude you get from salestaff...best to shop elsewhere or wait till one goes to Montreal. If you speak English...avoid.

Every visit to Ottawa this is a must stop in Byward Market the pastries are out of this world or stop for a quick Breakfast or lunch. Too many great choices so we always end up taking something to go as well, if your travelling grab lots for the next day.

I wish our local market or high street had a similar store. They had lots of choice for the patisseries. This store would have been at home in any French high street.

Loved the large portion sizes. My only critique is that it was a little expensive.
