A group of friends went to Salt for a 30th birthday party. The staff there were incredible and were able to set a prix fixe meal for our group. They were patient, attentive and recommended the most delicious wine. All of our plates were made to perfection!

Be sure to try the grilled spanish octopus and crisp pork belly.

We went to Salt last weekend. The food was absolutely delicious. Small dishes, but so tasty. There was a desert unfortunately they didn't (the famous flan) have but we were very happy with the service. The wine list is long and for every taste. It is on the pricy side but definitely worth it.

Had our first visit to Salt Wine Bar this past weekend. We were intrigued by the on-line reviews and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. As it is a wine bar we obviously had to try some wine. We were not familiar with Spanish wines but the staff were so helpful and knowledgable. They recommended one based on what we described we like in a wine and it was absolutely outstanding!

As this is a tapas restaurant we decided to try a bit of everything from each section of the menu. The highlight and a must try from the first section was the fois gras and chicken liver pate. This was hands down the best pate I have ever eaten! It was smooth, melted in your mouth and perfectly seasoned. As a matter of fact all the food was perfectly balanced. It is rare that you find a chef who can balance flavours as well as they do at Salt.

Other must try's are the blistered peppers, fried chicken and truffle risotto. I'm not a huge fan of truffles as I find many chefs use it to the extent that it overwhelms the dish but again the flavours here were so well balanced that it was an enjoyable dish.

We definitely recommend you try Salt and we will be back.

The food was amazing, small plates but very flavourful! It is a non-traditional mix of Spanish and Portuguese cuisines with an Avantgarde twist. Great wine list.
Not the traditional old-school Iberian cuisines.

We found the restaurant online. Even though we eat on Ossington once a month we never noticed this place. While they make you think you are having Spanish / Portuguese food the owners must have never been to either place. They don't have Sangria on the menu. Very surprising but when we asked they said it never sold so they took it off the menu. I had their version off a Pisco Sour and Sour it was. Not like the true Peruvian drink. When I analyzed the food cost I was shocked. $8 for 2 pc of grilled Sardines. I expected 2 large grilled Portuguese sardines. Instead we got 2 bread toasts with lettuce topped with the belly of a small sardine. Food cost was no more than $0.75. They had Truffle Risotto (Italian not Spanish or Portuguese) that was a large spoon of rice in a creamy broth. No bite to the rice! made with some truffle oil. Why would they charge $22? Most of the wine is not top shelf. Mostly Portuguese that is probably $15 per bottle and they charge $18 for a glass. With enough great Spanish food Toronto why pretend with low grade high cost food. Biggest shame was the patatas braves. They had tomato sauce not Romanesco Sauce. No egg If you want food food go to Patria / Bar Raval / Bar Isabel or Cava Wine Bar.
