Description: Upscale casual, downtown Toronto. The first JOEY to hit the streets of downtown Toronto. Located just off Yonge on Dundas, this place is a work of art - exposed brick walls, open-air dining, crazy custom lighting and the Enomatic wine system. We could go on, but you should come and see it for yourself.

My husband and I enjoyed the two dinners we had here, but we quickly learned that this restaurant is the (or at least a) Happening Place for Sleek Young Things, in their suits and little black dresses: both times it was packed by 6 PM, and we had to wait a while even on the second occasion, when we had made a reservation. The noise level, at least if you were seated inside, was also deafening. The servers did the best they could with the situation, though, and the food was excellent, with huge portions.

On the first occasion I had rotisserie chicken, and my husband had chicken and ribs; we had apple pastry with ice cream for dessert (one serving of which would have been enough for two people). On the second occasion I had salmon filet, also quite good, and the night’s special of steak with mushroom-peppercorn sauce sounded tasty as well, but we didn’t have a big enough appetite for it.

In short, this place, though not cheap, is well worth it for the food if you make reservations and have a certain amount of patience—but I wouldn’t recommend it to families, anyone in a hurry, or anyone who is sensitive to noise and crowds.

My sister and I enjoyed lunch on a snowy and cold weekend. Joey is very spacious and has large windows overlooking Dundas St. We enjoyed the delicious sparkling juices, definitely worth trying. I have visited other Joey restaurants and love them all. The food is delicious and not too pricy.

Had our department luncheon today. Great food. Super staff. Due to the Christmas season, the service was slow but it was worth it since we took time to enjoy our lunch and spend time with our colleagues. The food was awesome. I had the BBQ Salmon bowl. Perfect for lunch. Some colleagues had the steak which was good. Joeys is worth checking out. They are abit pricey but the food is goid.

Jeff, a friend of ours had recommended this restaurant as a must-try while we were in Toronto this weekend.
We had such a great experience the first time, we were back the next day for more!

Undecided about what to order from the wine list, our server Kim was very knowledgeable and suggested a couple of different options based on personal preferences and had also recommended the hummus appetizer
and that lettuce wraps with chicken. TRUST KIM! DELICIOUS.

The following night, finding it hard to decide what to eat this time around - the sous chef personally recommended the tuna tacos and the steak and sushi entree. The steak was perfect and the fish was fresh - FANTASTIC!

We weren't disappointed with anything we tried and would recommended all of it to others!

Joey's also had a great teamwork environment going.
Even when the restaurant was packed and our server was taking another table's order, the Joey staff made sure that waters were refilled and that our food was delivered as soon as it was ready.

We're looking forward to our next trip to Toronto - for Joey's :)

We had a late reservation but got hungry early. Showed up and explained about our reservation which was still an hour out. They fit us in relatively quickly although there was quite the wait. Service was excellent all around.
Food was nothing exceptional. Butter chicken and curry was average. We found their menu a bit limited. Wouldn’t rush back anytime soon.

Thank chrissel
