We stayed for a few nights last week...excellent large room with kitchen facilities! Clean, and staff were very accommodating.
Let down by a few things which prevent me giving top marks:
1) lines for breakfast resemble a Black Friday morning at Walmart! Need to either prolong breakfast or get a bigger dining area because the current situation is not working. Food was decent though. (Loved the fact they had soy milk...a veggie sausage would have been appreciated for us vegetarian visitors though).
2) Elevators were slow with long waits, but worse than that...the noisiest I've ever heard in a hotel! I was woken by the loud grinding and mechanics every night (I asked for a room away from the elevator but it made absolutely no difference). That, coupled with the large rooms which attract young families and groups mean that this is NOT the hotel for you if you want a quiet stay.
3) If I was being picky I'd also say that having a room overlooking a large electrical sub-station was not great either.

If you can get this at a good rate, you are a heavy sleeper and/or early riser that doesn't mind a bit if noise, this hotel is a great choice.

We stayed for one night on a quick trip to Toronto. The location is awesome - walking distance to the CN Tower and Rogers Centre (for Blue Jays games). Parking is pricey - but it's downtown Toronto so what can you expect? We tried to have breakfast in the morning, but it was REALLY crowded so I can't speak to the options. The room was clean and spacious. I definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families.

Marriott staff very professional and the request for early check-in was received. Its important to provide your place of stay upon arriving early. Excellent selection of healthy food choices for breakfast. The housekeeping staff very punctual if missing or out of basic items. Rooms were spacious and clean and the mini kitchen was convenient if preparing late afternoon snacks. Main attractions nearby and recommend opting for a site tour for first time visitors. And you may request hotel pickup at no charge.

Let me start by saying we did not have plans to stay at this hotel. We had a last minute reservation error and we lost our room at another hotel. We have three kids so finding a room that would accomodate a family of five last minute was stressful - until I found a two bedroom at the Residence Inn. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The 2 bedroom fit our family perfectly and provided the perfect home base for exploring Toronto. The rooms weren't super modern but they also weren't tired as other reviewers had suggested. The only negative for us was we were given a room with no view at all - one window literally looked out onto a wall. But given we booked last minute I really didn't mind. The staff was very friendly and the daily breakfast was good. We did use the in/out valet service which is expensive but worked well for us.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor

Pro's and Cons to staying here so you have to weigh out what is important.

~ Rooms are big and spacious, they don't have an option of two queen beds though
~ Pillows are not comfy, bring your own, lol!!
~ LOVE that they have a kitchen, it was very clean and had everything we needed
~ Location is walking distance to many, many things!
~ Breakfast is packed, so save some time to wait for a seat unless you want to bring your food to your room which is fine too
~ Breakfast staff were fantastic!
~ Lots of great gluten free breakfast food for my daughter in the back, they bought out too much food for a 10 year old, lol... muffins, bread, eggs, fruit ~ she was so happy!
~ Pool is great!
~ Parking is a huge issue, we parked and were shocked that it was $70 when we left a couple of days later. Worse part is that the parking was locked... the elevator didn't work and we couldn't get there. We called the hotel and they couldn't help us as the lot they directed us to is not theirs. Luckily some ladies who worked in the building next door arrived and had a key card and let us in the back way. So ~ check out parking WAY ahead of time and ask specific questions about their valet parking. We didn't use the valet parking for many reasons, one is that the driver on the Friday night we arrived sped past us honking on the side street as if he owned the road.
~ elevators.... only two were working and there was always a line up, it was always a long wait to get both up and down and the elevators were always packed
~ Housekeeping staff were incredibly nice!!
~ coffee maker directions are missing... but they are for 2 cups, not the entire 12 cup coffee maker ~ neither housekeeping or front desk knew how much water for the prepackaged coffee in the room
~ bathroom ~ I love a bathroom where they sink/mirror is separate from the toilet/shower, definitely a bonus.... BUT this time it was directly beside the bed. If you wanted to brush your teeth or wash your hands, you couldn't turn on the light unless you wanted to wake up your spouse. Not a great design, lol!! They should have swapped the bathroom and the kitchen places.

Room Tip: Second floor so you don't have to wait for the elevator!
