We found this restaurant by accident when a nearby place, at which we had a reservation, was closed. Service and food were excellent. I had the saffron seafood risotto. The rice was rich and creamy and the numerous pieces of fish and shellfish were perfectly cooked. A delicious discovery!

This will be my go to restaurant when we go to Toronto for a weekend! The service decor and food was spot on. I had the Sardines and Cataplana, while my wife had the seafood risotto. Both had a very generous amount of seafood.
If you are looking for a nice dinner out and like seafood, give it a try. You'll go back again. I now a a new reason to go to Toronto !

Had reservations before theatre and our dinner experience was really great.
Restaurant is quiet and servers r friendly and very experienced at there jobs.
Daily specials were extensive but we decided to go with one of the taster platters which had Portuguese sardines, sausage, cheese, salmon, porcuitto and squid. The selection was tasty and varied.
We decided on the Cataplana fish stew to share, it could have been served a lot hotter and portion is more for one person versus sharing.Great selection of fish, scallops, shrimp, squid and mussels in a tomatoe base.
Overall dinner was good.
Will return to try some of the main course entries.

Thank Ron A

We had an early dinner before the theatre, and found everything as we had remembered - excellent!

The décor is the same as it has been for many years, the service impeccable. And the food lovely. We shared the Lisbon tapas platter which was varied and generous. Mains of fish were perfectly cooked. So nice that this place continues to excel. Highly recommend.

For me a good restaurant is where some dishes are excellent but others just so-so. A great restaurant is when all the dishes are excellent, a well as the service. This is a great restaurant. Our server, Fernando was enthusiastic, loved talking about Portugal, and didn't miss a beat.

1.The bread came with black oil-cured olives and olive oil. 2. A surprise ceviche-like octopus treat on a spoon. 3. Appetizers were roasted vegetable soup and a squid plate. Calimari is usually tough and chewy. This was tender. Best squid I have had. 4.Main courses were salmon with pineapple which was tender and flaky, and chicken breast in douro wine sauce. It's hard to do anything new with chicken breast but all of the dishes were seasoned perfectly. 5. For dessert, creme caramel which was light, not overly sweet, and went welll with white Port wine. They have Portuguese wines in stock. We will be back.
