Clean, modern, ( slightly squeaky bunkbeds so you wake your bunk neighbor, but this seems to be more of a standard with ALL hostels.)

Kitchen and small "pub" in the basement, and vending machines, ( though I wish they'd labelled that a little more apparent, they were off in a corner easily missed). I was only there one night so didn't partake of all the events or amenities but it all seems well organized and well run.Albeit slightly huffy counter clerk when i checked in.

Comfy duvets and linens, and free breakfast ( juice, coffee, cereal, fruit, bagels and hardboiled eggs).

Close to downtown, 10 bucks cab from the VIA station. Not sure about airport.

Not accessible as far as I can tell. It's stairs. You may want to double check this, before booking, there are main floor rooms too, but still stairs to get to the basement kitchen, and from the street.

Room Tip: all the rooms seem good.

The staff are lovely. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Each room comes with an ensuite bathroom which is a nice touch, meaning you don't have to remember your key if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night. The free breakfast is great and the kitchen is large and well equipped for cooking all of your own meals. They have lots of activities and the common area becomes a bar in the evening which is great if you want to socialise with other travellers! The location is good, right near a metro station and within walking distance of downtown. I would stay here again.

The best hotel I've stayed so far. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is well-organised. The kitchen is large and the breakfast is healthy with fruits.

It's near the centre of Montreal in just a few walks.

Hostels are great when you’re just in town for one night and don’t need more than a bed to sleep on and maybe breakfast to get you going. The Montreal location is just a 15 minute walk from the VIA station, so easy to get to since I was taking the train from Ottawa. I was checking in on a Saturday, and it happened that a free walking tour was about to leave. The guide took us through the Underground City and into numerous historic buildings, the World Trade Centre, and to the oldest part of town – a great orientation to the city. Another thing I like about hostels is that many feature common eating areas that turn into a bar in the evening, and here it’s in the basement. So happy to see local craft beer available. The free breakfast is also served downstairs, with quite a lot to choose from. My only complaint was the tiny en-suite bathroom, which means you hear everything your three roommates are doing, as late or as early as they are up doing it.

Hello and thank you for the review. Indeed, we believe we have a nice selection of local beers. Max, who is in charge of the hostel's bistro/bar is very knowledgeable about beers as he brews beer for himself. Come and ask for him so he can recommend the best option for your tastes!
Santé!

Sociable, lovely bar which serves food, organised activities. The staff were very helpful and printed a couple of pages I needed printed for me for no charge. They also provided me with information about buses, local activities etc. and sell tickets for hockey games and tourist attractions at reception.
