A very modern and funky hotel - which you know from the moment you walk in. Service was excellent - the conceriege especially was very helpful. The bar staff were also chatty - and made a special effort. The cocktails were good! The rooms themselves were spacious and well equipped with a humourous edge to the accessories. Room service was prompt. The bar in the hotel turns into a proper night spot later on, but it's well managed by staff so doesn't impinge on the hotel. Definitely a good night out - and very quick to stumble home if you do. The spa is very peaceful, the treatment I had was good and well presented and a not bad valueI (for a hotel). The only thing that would make this hotel perfect is access to a pool. The location is good for the old town - only a short walk away. It's also conveniently located to a metro station so access to other places is straightforward and not far to walk either. Overall a good place to stay.

The hotel is in prime location both shopping and visiting olde Montreal. The decor of the hotelmis very unique. When you first entee the lobby you know you are in a special place. This feeling continues with the service accorded on at reception. The entire staff whether in the bar, restaurant, front desk or concierge are both friendly, and knowlegeable.

The room decor is very artsy and modern. This taste is not for everyone but well done. The view we had was great and the size of the room was good. They are not large rooms but sufficient. They are not large rooms but very functionable. The hotel certainly goes the extra mile, we were offered a ride to our next hotel, which was a nice extra.

I would certainly book this property again, mainly for the wonderful staff!

Room Tip: Make sure you get one with a streetmview

The W Hotel is a wonderful setting in the beautiful heart of Montreal City. Centrally located to a number of restaurants, bars & scenic parks, you really won't be disappointed. The hotel itself is contemporary without being pretentious and the staff excell in customer service.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet.

Amazing hotel - beautifully decorated, friendly staff. Stayed in an amazing loft suite with striking views over the park. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: See if you can upgrade to a suite - it is well worth it, you won't be disappointed.

The W is situated on Square Victoria, at the junction of downtown, Chinatown and Old Montreal, and about one block from the Palais des Congres. You can walk to everywhere within 10-15 minutes. The decor is chic, hip, now, and clean. The rooms are very spacious, with great Bliss Spa products, and the beds ultra-comfortable after a day exploring the city. Everyone on staff, from valet, reception, concierge, room service to spa personnel, is amazing: welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. I usually stay there for those reasons and I can stay that the level of performance from the staff is consistent. That definitely says something about the leadership!
I understand that their staffing of spa personnel is such that they choose experienced therapists. My therapist, Michael Brumarescu, was extremely knowledgeable regarding physiology and nutrition (which I happen to know a thing or two about).
While many may want to choose to eat in any of the thousand amazing restaurants in Montreal, the room service menu offers very fresh food with many very healthy choices.
Oh, and it's only a few minutes walk to Chuck Hughes' Gard'Manger, and Toqué. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Atrium view opens to the bar so you can hear music at night. The soundproofing is not absolute; you will hear the traffic near the elevators
