On our recent visit to Montreal we stopped in at Maison Christian Faure Patisserie in Old Montreal. They have a wonderful location in Old Montreal near Pointe-a-Caliere. The staff was very helpful and they offer both carry-out and dining in the establishment. There is a quiet atmosphere in the restaurant. They have a wonderful selection of pastries and desserts. They range from croissants and breads to eclairs and tortes. The pastries included ingredients such as chocolate, fruit, and nuts.
This is a very good option for French pastries. They also serve teas, coffees, and hot chocolates. We very much enjoyed the pastries and relaxing at this wonderful patisserie. I highly recommend a visit to Maison Christian Faure Patisserie.

We tried the macaroons, ice cream and other beautiful pastries and it was truly worth the visit. There is a good sized seating area which many other customers made use of.

Stopped in here for a mid morning snack. there was a wonderful assortment of pastries along with many treats such as handmade, flavoured marshmallows and macarons. I had a very rich, almond croissant. Very friendly staff and cute interior for either eat in or take out.

The wait was long even though there was no one in line. Still, they managed to give me the wrong dessert and I only found out once I got back got to the office :( For the price that I paid for the complete lunch, that was totally deceiving. If you ever order takeout, please make sure to double check the content.

I came in on a gray and rainy Tuesday afternoon at around 5pm and this bakery seemed to be quite full with tourists. The service, although not necessarily prompt, was very good. A customer left her purse and the man at the counter rushed out to the streets to return it to her. That said, place seems to be a little understaffed, or perhaps it was because the one waitress serving about 8 tables was new. Regardless, both staff members were very affable.

I sat down and ordered the iced house lemonade, a pain au chocolat and 2 macarons (cassis and vanilla), totalling to about $15. The pain au chocolat had real chocolate, was not too sweet, and very flaky and delicious. The iced house lemonade was alright, although I would have enjoyed it more if it were sunny, I suppose. The macarons were delicious and not too sweet - in fact, the lemonade was sweeter than the macarons.

It's a great place, I highly recommend it!!
