I was brought here by a local who said they had the best Steak Sandwich in town. He had the steak sandwich and enjoyed it (Monday it is $15). I knew I was having red meat for dinner so I opted for the jambalaya...always a risk - can be hit or miss - no risk her - the rice, sausage, chicken, pepper mix was delicious and just the right sized portion. Service was good - attentive but not annoying. I would love to come back and try the dinner menu!

Hadn’t been for a while. Still a great spot to stop in when your downtown even just for drinks and appetizers.

Started with the ribs. May favourite rib appy in the city. Ask for some BBQ or ranch to go with them. So meaty and tender.

Then the soup and ceaser came. The mushroom soup is very flavourful with plenty of fresh mushrooms in it. A must try. And the ceaser was nicely dressed, very crisp and tasty.

For entrees I had the Stuffed Chicken and my wife had the steak and lobster. My chicken was nice, more apple and pecan would have made it really good. My wife’s steak was a perfect medium, nice char and delicious. The lobster unfortunately was over cooked. No question from the manager. Took her whole meal off the bill. And my wife was plenty full from the excellent steak and potatoes. So no one is perfect and they made it more than right.

We will be back soon. The room is warm and cozy, Laid back and unpretentious ambience, the menu selection is nicely varied and the wine and food prices are of the most reasonable and best value downtown. Oh and one last point, the service is excellent.

The good part: server was friendly, atmosphere was nice, and I appreciated that it was quiet so visiting was easy!
The rest: Calamari were limp soft rings - sent them back as quite horrible. Caesar salad was limp and very underwhelming. Ordered steak and lobster but upgraded the sirloin steak to a fillet. The steak was small and dry, the lobster tasted good but the butter dish had no butter - it was a butter flavored oil or something. The mashed potatoes tasted good but were presented as an ice cream scoop on the side. Sorry to say we won't go back.

Warm, inviting place to visit with friends and family. Great food and drink specials in the heart of downtown.
