A great slaughtering house for your money bags. Have to ask the price you will be charged when ordering your food . Avoid the seasonal price item cos it's mean paying Super high price for a fresh water river prawn. Great place to watch plane landing , so just order plain water and enjoy the view minus the agony and ulcer you will get challenging the price tag for the food you ordered and probably will not like it for the lousy taste.

Food is not that fancy and the choice is limited. Price is still reasonable for the environment.

Come here for Beer, Wine or bring your own Whisky is most enjoyable since the updates outdoor sittings, cultural environment and entertainment performance provided periodically blended into a typical Thai relaxation.

Coming here during raining season could be a bit disappointed as thunder storm forced you to move inside sheltered lobby.
The best timing shud be November to March whilst weather is most pleasant.

Group Tourists are not a matter as the place is very spaceous and tourists usually only come for a quick dinner between 6 and 7pm. Individuals are also consider tourists. Foreigners also considered to be tourist. It is nothing to complain about. You just can not refuse to pull out your cell phone to take pictures if you are first visit regardless of locals or foreigners.

Come here on you birth day, you cud enjoy 10%discount on food if you pay by cash or 5% if you pay by credit card. If you live near by, you can spend 300 Baht for a life time VIP card and enjoy similar aforesaid discount in follow visits.

This restaurant is in fact not that far away from Bangkok but makes you feels like away from Bangkok many miles away.

We visited the Amalanta Resort's Koh Lanta Restaurant as a change from the normal city centre venues. Near to Subvarnabhumi Airport it can be difficult to find, however armed with a full address, in Thai, the taxi driver had no problems locating it.
The place is rather palatial with grand decor and a lake, a band plays both farang and Thai music to the guests who are seated both outdoor and undercover. Planes flying into Bangkok overhead is another attraction (or even distraction!!)
This eatery is a seafood restaurant and if you don't like fish then there is very little on the menu to tempt you other than the desserts and drinks. Service was very efficient, friendly and informative and we enjoyed the food which included desserts and cocktails. Everything considered I thought the bill was good value and less expensive than the restaurant's impression might lead you to think.
The Koh Lanta Restaurant is definitely a place to visit at least once either as a couple or a group and I would recommend it to both Thais and tourists.

Ok, it is tacky and touristy, but if you are out near the airport or staying at the airport hotel you just have to eat here for the experience. Huge, this is the new Tumnak Thai, but on steroids instead of skates and roller blades!

Set alongside a lake with a huge horse statue in its centre and ducks, drakes and swans swimming around, with an associated resort with what looked like rather upmarket lakeside bungalows.

Menu is the usual extensive selection and is heavy on the seafood. Servings were generos and tasty, and food was good quality.

More surprisingly for a place like this, service and staff attitude were quite pleasant. They obviously have not yet been demoralized by rude tourist behavior.

Not cheap, but worth a visit for the experience. Hoards of Chinese the night we went (Friday).
