We stayed here overnight for visit to beaches. Very spacious rooms with good facilities. Breakfast available was good. Rooms clean. No aircon a drawback. Rooms has 1 small fan. Wifi would not work and had been offline in the hotel since the day before but the lovely front desk man was more than willing to help and finally got me online which was appreciated. Would be a great place for families to stay to be close to the beach.

Dear Caroline, Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback concerning your recent experience at the Gold Beach Hôtel, Asnelles
We are glad the comfort and cleanliness of your rom helped to make your stay so enjoyable. We are sorry to hear about the problems you encountered with the air-conditioning unit and internet, we do suggest to our guests that in this case you contact reception immediately to see if we can find a solution as our reception staff were able to do in our case. The main advantage of the hotel is that is is just 100 m from Gold Beach which as you say is ideal for families but we are also just 10 minutes from Arromanches city centre, 100m from the D-Day landing beaches and 20 minutes by car from The William the Conqueror centre in Bayeux. Thank you for mentioning our tasty, varied breakfast with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes.
All of the team certainly look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back on another occasion.
My very best wishes,
Vito IUZZOLINO, General manager

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for such a nice review about your stay at the Gold Beach Hôtel in Asnelles.
We are pleased you and your family enjoyed their stay and found the room to your liking with its fully equipped kitchenette. We are glad you appreciated our prime location at 100m from Gold Beach and very near tourist attractions such as the D-Day landing beaches, WWII radar museum and Normandy Victory museum as well as restaurants. We are sorry you found our breakfast a little expensive we do try to make it as tasty and varied as possible with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes; sweet and savoury patisserie, cheeses from Normandy and a selection of beverages. Thank you for complimenting our staff, they will be thrilled to hear about your positive comments.
We very much hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back on another occasion.
Best regards,

We were due to stay here for 1 night on a Motorcycle tour but after problems with our bike we stayed for 2. The staff were extreemly nice and healped us a great deal with organising the recovery of our bike.

Our room was on the first floor and had a quirky layout with wooden stairs leading to a large comfortable bed on an open landing in the attic. The room was very well equipped with bath/shower,w/c, fridge, hob, microwave, kettle and 3 sets of cutlery and crockery.

There are local shops and a choice of resteraunts within a few hundred yds of the hotel but we choose the Gold Beach Resteraunt which is across the road but run by the hotel. The food here was very nice and reasonable and again the service was great.

The beach (Gold Beach) is a 3 or 4 min walk from the hotel and the village of Arromanches is around a 40min walk along the beach.

Overall this is a great hotell and would deffinetly stay again and recommend to others.

Stayed here for 3 nights as a base for touring the D Day sights. Situated slap bang in the middle of the British and American sights and just a few hundred metres from Gold beach. The 3 of us stayed in a family room which sleeps 5. Plenty of room, although the upstairs compartment where my son and I slept was really stuffy at night. Rooms are clean and quite well equipped. Beds are comfy. Breakfast is 10e extra, which isn't cheap but the choice was very good and worth the extra money. The staff are all English speaking and very friendly. There is also plenty of parking. If you're looking for a reasonably priced dinner, the hotel has a restaurant just opposite the hotel which is worth visiting. So, for a hotel in a central location for your D Day tour I highly recommend the Gold beach hotel.

Excellent basic hotel/motel, Rico the Itatalian manager was more that helfull and Clemont in the restaurant across the road was a super host, fifteen euro for a good steak and chips can't be bad, and five euro for a pint of Blonde beer ! Well placed to tour WWII sites, and a ten minute run up to the next town where you will find all the large supermarkets, yes the rooms might be a little cramped for five adults but the beds were excellent and there was plenty of hot water for a shower, all you need to do a little self catering, would I use this place again, yip it's a no brainer, plenty of room to park the bike and a warm comfy room with some English speaking TV channels, internet not good, but then who goes on holiday to sit and play on a computer, get a life

Room tip: Lift to he first floor so not a problem with one flight of stairs
