It’s a mini village with cleverly designed rooms houses and villas. You feel like the only people there. It’s quite magical. Love the beach area with its attentive staff and beautiful beach restaurant.
The hotel is perfectly placed to explore all the different villages and towns in the area. A must is the Truli house and the caves. Food, as in the rest of Italy, is on the whole superb. Loved the whole area.

This beautiful hotel and spa is situated in Puglia. Getting here may be a little difficult but what awaits you won’t disappoint. A quick hour drive from Bari airport - situated near Monopoli in the Puglia region of Italy, Borgo looks like a medieval village - including the town square but was built less than ten years ago. The atmosphere is hush and quiet, there are candles everywhere. The staff is gracious and competent - the breakfast, restaurants, pools and spa were all excellent - what one might expect after paying 800 plus plus Euros per night.

Dear Alexandra,
Thank you for taking your time to write about us. Your description of the atmosphere at Borgo Egnazia is exactly what we wish our guest to live: the authenticity of our place and the celebration of Puglian traditions in a relaxing environment makes our guests feel like at home. Regarding the position of Borgo Egnazia, we are few hundred meters from the sea in the hearth of the Itria Valley, halfway between Bari and Brindisi, and we provide transfers on request from both airports. We would be happy to welcome you here again, to live our Nowhere else experiences.

Kind regards,
Federico Aversa

We came to Borgo Egnazia last year and had a wonderful time. There were so many fun activities for the family and different buffets at different restaurants. We were really looking forward to returning this year. We checked in two days ago and it’s nothing like we remembered. First of all, there are two large corporate groups here, so besides the kids club, there isn’t ANY family activities scheduled like last year. Secondly, restaurants are booked out by the two large groups so food choices are seriously limited. Went to a “buffet” offered at one of the only two restaurants yesterday and the only hot options are pizzas. When I went to the front desk to ask why there isn’t any kids friendly activities available like last year, the guy basically told me they change things all the time and they “pride themselves on these changes” and I should wait for the next week schedule to see if there is anything else available. This hotel is expensive by any standards and after we’ve told all our friends how amazing it is, it’s simply not the same hotel we remembered. There is a firework scheduled at 11pm tonight for the corporate groups, not good for families with small kids.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to write about Borgo Egnazia. We deeply regret for your negative experience. We are surprised and saddened that cohabitation with two corporate groups may have disturbed our guests and we will try to understand the causes to resolve them as soon as possible. Our first care is to make to live an experience with total tranquility and privacy, even and above all with fully booked. Regarding the activities, I confirm that these are continuously updated because we want to make to live our guests different experiences every time, and the program is always available to our guests, with paper and digital communications.
Given your previous extraordinary experience, we hope to welcome you again to confirm the initial expectations and experiences previously lived. We remain of course available for any other clarification.

Kind regards,
Federico Aversa

This hotel looks like a nice village with small houses and different beautiful pools. The breakfast is very good but not perfect as a Belmond hotel for example. Our room was perfect and large. This is a peaceful and safe hotel. If you want to visit this nice region you need a car, this hotel is far in the countryside.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for the nice words you dedicated to Borgo Egnazia, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. The pools are very important for us, not only for the meaning of the water like source of life, but to allow our guests to regenerate. Our Local Adviser and Indigenus teams organize many activities inside and outside Borgo Egnazia to allow everyone to live the territory authentically, just like local people. Waiting for a new stay at Borgo Egnazia that will let you live these and other unique experiences.

Kind regards,
Federico Aversa

Probably the best hotel I've stayed in ! The location is wonderful next to the sea. The whole complex has been designed with luxury and quality in mind. I stayed in a lovely villa type accommodation with a private courtyard . The room was just perfect and attention to detail was clearly a priority . The food was great with such a large choice for breakfast. Pools were clean and the attendants catered for all your needs throughout the day. It's difficult to explain how lovely this place is , the pictures you see on the website are accurate but in reality it's even better ! Price wise it's expensive but you only get what you pay for in life !

Dear Guest,

Thank you for the wonderful story you tell about your stay. Often, our guests feel like Borgo Egnazia is a distinctive place that far exceeds their expectations in respect to photos they may have seen. It is lovely to leave a sense on uniqueness with our guests and in most cases the same guests return to us as if Borgo Egnazia was their home. We hope that we left the same sensation with you and we look forward to welcoming you back in order for you to live another individual experience.

Best wishes,
Federico Aversa
