If it was cleaner it could be value for money. The rooms and staircases are not clean and are well maintained.
Staff does not speak English / Khmer only and is not very helpful. They are glued to their phones using good internet. Probably they are the ones using up al the bandwidth.

Rooms go for 6 usd with cold water only and just a fan. Bathroom and room very basic.

Breakfast not available.

Spent a few nights here recently. Rooms are basic but clean. Hot shower, fan rooms for $8. 200m to city centre. friendly and helpful staff. Basically a good all around basic and cheap place to stay that is def value for money. Will stay here again if i am ever back in Banlung.

Cheap, but not overly cheerful guesthouse in Banlung. Restaurant closed, and don't follow their advice to the "nearest" place to get some scoff! Interesting in the morning when folk are sleeping in pop up tents in the hotel reception, much to the interest of the multitude of friendly local dogs.
Banlung is great, though its difficult to avoid the pretentious back packers, and the indigenous people and villages show the true heart and welcome of Cambodia.

Room Tip: If its important, make sure your room has a hot shower. Cheapest rooms ($6) only have cold water - not great for shaving!

There are two parts to the hotel: the 5 year old half and the newer, recently constructed section. If you can stay in the newer half, then do it. It's cleaner and better constructed. The air con works well and so does the hot water shower and the TV is fine. Rooms are clean for a Cambodian hotel and you get a couple bottles of water a day. There is free wireless if you sit in the area near the front desk. It's a great deal for 12USD and one of the better options in Ban Lung.

Staff don't speak much English but are generally friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel is also decent and they have great coffee. The hotel is not too far from the center of town and you can easily walk to the market or catch a motodup.

This hotel isn't in the guidebook but it was recommended by my Cambodian's friend's acquaintance. This hotel provided us with A/C, hot water, & cable TV. The room was relatively clean. There's no phone. Our room had a window looking out to a cement wall. This was all fine for us--We were just looking for a place to sleep at night. The negative part of staying here was that the staff spoke no English. I went down to ask for bottles of water and they couldn't understand me even as my English got more simple and direct. Finally, they came up to my room to ask my Cambodian friend what I was asking for. Turns out, they thought I wanted some hot water. This hotel is also a 5-10 minute walk from the city center/market. We walked to the market but took a motoduk back at night. The upside of this is that it's a very quiet place to sleep. Overall, this is a place is pretty good for a guest house unless you want to be in the mix of the little town's activity. I can't remember if they offered wi-fi here.
