Last minute decision to try this traditional and welcoming pub, which has been recommended by friends. We didn't book and when we entered thought it may have been a mistake as it was lively and a lot of tables were reserved. As we are a couple and had arrived at 5.30pm we were lucky. We chose swiftly both fancying a steak. We were served swiftly and the wait for food minimal. The steak was tasty, juicy and plump. Chips were delicious although my partner would have preferred a choice of vegetables. After we treated ourselves to a sweet, these were equally delicious. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was lovely. A definite return venue and according to the locals, next time we will try the fish! Will post pictures next time!
