I was really looking forward to staying here as it had great reviews and the pictures were beautiful, unfortunately I was disappointed with my experience, I felt it was over priced for what it was and the room was quite dirty, shower mould which could be wiped off with a tissue was all the the bathroom, the toilet leaked all over the floor the bathroom floor which was accompanied by a stench.
However, the staff were helpful and friendly, which was lovely, and the long pool was nice although it had some rubbish floating throughout it.

If I could do it again I'd skip Senggigi altogether and spend more time in Rinjani and Gili.

The room, though shabby and a bit too dark, was clean and the bed was comfortable. The long pool near the room was nice, with the view of the trees, but it could be so much nicer if they had some staff there taking drinks orders or laying out some towels, some sense of care. The place feels rather odd, like it's closed. The staff, though polite and generally helpful, all seemed quite young and were not very professional or attentive in their manner. The pool area near reception is in poor condition. The wooden floor is cracked and falling to pieces. The chairs by the pool don't have cushions on them and are in bad condition. The entire ground area needs to be sweeped with a brush. The walls need to be painted. It looks like the place isn't maintained well. The restaurant is empty most of the time and, to me, doesn't look nice at all. The breakfast was bad. The juice and coffee were very poor quality. We didn't bother having breakfast after the first day and enjoyed the very reasonably priced buffet at Katamaran Resort instead. I found Kebun to be a bit of a depressing place that is misleading in its advertising. It could be very nice if it was looked after better. It is well worth the money to pay a bit more and stay at a better hotel than this, particularly if it's your honeymoon or some special event.

If you want to relax and be in peace, this is the place to go! Secluded yet near the main restaurant and shop area in Sengiggi. Staff pleasant. Room nice. Very big and spacious. There is air con, wifi on and off and a free mini bar! Free includes some drinks, a packet of crisp and two small chocolates plus standard complimentary water. 2 swimming pools. Busy hotel. Very peaceful and perfect to unwind and relax. Clean. The food at the restaurant although pricey was brilliant! I had lunch there which was the seafood nasi goreng. Would recommend. Spicy and delicious. The breakfast is a la carte which I liked and plentiful. Good selection. You can take unlimited tea, coffee and choice of orange or guava juice. You get a plate of fruits which consisted of water melon, papaya and pineapple. Then choose your main a la carte breakfast from the menu. They don't tell you what is included so just ask. I wanted the pancakes so I asked what was included. It was with a scrammbled egg, sausages, pancakes with banana, blueberry sauce and maple syrup on the side. It was delicious and plentiful! This and the french toast seemed to be the most popular. It would help if they put what the breakfast included as many guests were asking the same questions. The hotel is quite strict with the 14:00 check in time but I pushed for slightly earlier as was tired from travelling and got the room about 12:30. This did annoy me a bit as I know there is a hotel policy but does it hurt if the room is free to let the guest have it? There are gecko's around. Had one in room! Suggest putting a towel by the gap in the door! Try not to eat in the rooms. Would highly recommend otherwise.

Didn’t like the hotel as there were a lot of mold in the hotel, and in the rooms. The hotel lacks overall maintenance. In addition we were placed in a dahlia deluxe with a broken AC and in presence of a big machine that made huge noise during the late night. I was sleepless for a big portion of the night. We confronted the staff but they didn’t do anything about it.

We did leave earlier than planned because of the bad conditions, and didn’t get a refund for the days we didn’t stay. Fair enough - but when we confronted our travel agency, Kebun resort came with a total different version than ours. Wow.!

The pool area was nice with the infinity pool, but that’s about the only positive thing. Be aware that there is only sunlight in the morning (until 09.30 am) in juli.

Breakfast was not good and the selection was classic eggs, buns and sausage kind of breakfast.

The service of the hotel is overall good (as it is in southeast Asia), but we had much more caring from staff elsewhere.

The free minibar was a good addition, but didn’t make up for the bad experience.

Would recommend for people on a budget looking for a place to stay. Nothing more.

Sengiggi city doesn’t provide much in term of restaurants and cafes - beside pasta pojok - but for that you can’t blame the hotel.

We stayed in Kebun the start of July. As we travelled from Ubud and did a lot of sightseeing, we wanted to find somewhere to relax and chill out before the Gili Islands so Kebun is the perfect place.

The room had a pool view and was very spacious and a nice balcony and we had some mineral drinks complimentary in the mini bar which is always a perk!!

The pool was lovely and very long and its good to swim in and there is a beach only a walk down the road if you wanted a change of scenery. The only negative about the pool is that the sun only hits the pool in the morning and is gone by the afternoon so it's in the shade which was a pity!

We had breakfast included in the hotel and the breakfast you can only choose one thing from the menu so it's not a full buffet and you get juice/tea/coffee then with your food option. We used to order 2 x different things on the menu eg. American style & continental and then we'd share both.

We ate dinner both nights in the hotel and the food was amazing!! The finger food option is a great idea so you can bits of everything and its delicious! We also got the Nasi Goreng and another local Indonesian dish and the Fat Boy Burger. Highly recommend the food!!! Yum!

We had a great 2 nights in Kebun, it was so relaxing the staff were lovely and always tried to start conversations with guests and made the stay enjoyable. We also visited their cafe down the road, the cakes are so yummy!!

If you're looking for a break and somewhere to relax then we would recommend Kebun.
