We stayed here in March 2023. The hotel was empty apart from us taking up 2 rooms (unless we missed other guests). The hotel was lovely but it was just very tired. It really does need some updating, but we totally understand that what with Covid and the earthquakes Lombok suffered, recovery has been slow. The rooms were clean and tidy. Only issue we had was that we struggled with the wifi. Each time it went out, we contacted reception and they managed to get it going again, but it was a regular gripe that it would only last for a short time and then have to be reset. Not the end of the world, but we did chose a hotel with wifi as we need to be in contact with work.
Due to the lack of guests at the hotel they were running a very limited menu which wasn’t even open of an evening. Again, we understand that the costs of keeping it open for the minimal guests is not cost effective. However, we would have liked to know before we booked.
Luckily, we found a very lovely restaurant (The Office) just over the road.
Our friends had been here twice in previous years and therefore know how lovely this hotel used to be. We hope it manages to recover and get back to where it once was.
