What a lovely setting and decor. Outside terrace is great but with no cover, if the weather turned you would be in trouble. The staff were really friendly but need more training and to be more attentive. It would have been great if they’d explained the food and it’s origins. Also staff recommendations and info on dishes would have been good. The menu was sold as a rolling menu (tapas) but was structured as starters/mains. It’s a shame that you can only get wine by a small carafe not a bottle, which doesn’t go very far for 4 people. Having the wine delivered in carafe doesn’t give you much confidence in the wine selection. Wine selection could be extended. I’m glad we didn’t order the spider crab as a starter, it was £22! Spiced sausage dish came last when all our other sides were cold but it was not worth the wait- bland l, mediocre in flavour and disappointing end to a meal. The food needs much improvement .The side potato dish arrived long after the main courses did and by which time your food is then cold.We could have cooked some of dishes at home easily. For £50 (£250 for 5) , you leave feeling gloriously ripped off, we loved the setting but won’t be rushing back. They are charging London prices for their dining experience and it needs to deliver an excellent experience. We came for a long awaited family reunion dinner.I understand that it is a new venture but they can do better with some changes and I want them too, as it has the potential to be fabulous place! To summarise it’s underwhelming experience and needs improvement . I wanted to give this feedback so that hopefully future diners will have a better experience.
