“a dose of history and adventures”
Reviewed 5 February 2013

Booked the trip during Christmas holidays and it was one of the best trip i've had within the country. The island is located near the entrance of Manila Bay and it became the headquarters of the Allied forces during the second world war. It is indeed a very educational/historical place to visit. On top of it, they have various activities to offer to their guests; zipline, ATV ride, kayak, swimming, hiking, camping, etc.

I would recommend at least an overnight or two night stay in the island, than a daytour.

foods: nice with varities
hotel: need to improve the bathroom since it looks old and tiles looks dirty
staff: very nice service especially the tour guide

“Brilliant. Not really suitable for young kids”
Reviewed 4 February 2013

An amazing memorial to the brave Filipinos and Americans who fought there in WWII. I cannot even begin to imagine the hell they went through, but all of us should be grateful.

The guide was amusing, informative and serious when necessary. The lunch was far better than I expected. It was a slick operation and an excellent trip. Highly recommended.

“Unexpectedly fun experience”
Reviewed 2 February 2013

Booked the trip through Sun Cruises. Had a smooth ride going to the island but had a rough ride back ( left Manila by 11 am and arrived back at 530pm). If you want to avoid the strong waves in the afternoon, i suggest to book an earlier trip at 8 am.

Upon arrival on the island, we were whisked away immediately to the Corregidor Inn for our lunch buffet. Choices included chopsuey vegetable, paella marinella, Hawaiian pork barbecue, chicken adobo and spaghetti carbonara. The inn was cool, the food was okay.

We were toured around the island via the tramvia (tram); it was a comfortable ride. The tour was made more interesting by our good tour guide Rowena, who provided us with non-stop information and humorous anecdotes.

The interesting places to see on the island are the Malinta Tunnel, Topside Mile Long Barracks, Cine Corregidor, Eternal Flame, Spanish Lighthouse, canons, artilleries, museum, Japanese shrine. and the Pacific War Memorial.

Overall, it was a fun trip. It was a nice look back at what transpired on the island during WWII; plus a nice glimpse of the beautiful scenery around the island.
