This was not my first home stay but this one is my favorite. A plain reason is, the owner of the property was really nice and influential.

If you are going to Coorg for sightseeing, trekking etc then may be you would like to stay somewhere closer to the city. But this place is far from city and probably the best place to chill out. It offers you a lot of peace and greenery around. Hope my words do not mislead you. But you would fall in love at first sight of the cottage. Definitely would remind you of your childhood as long as you are not someone who was born with a silver spoon.

The ambience was fantastic. Morning tea/coffee in the veranda being my favorite. You would want to wake up early so that you don't miss it. And there's the breakfast, authentic coorgi food. Amazing.

Mr. Sanjay, the owner is a wonderful person, very helpful and empathetic. In fact, the paintings inside the cottages are all his creations. He took us for a walk to show his coffee plantation. That was one good experience. Coffee, Pepper, Teak, Rosewood, Betel-nut, Betel-leaf, ponds and many more...Mr Sanjay was not at all tired answering our numerous questions. Thanks a lot, Sir.

Finally the most amazing thing were the bees. There was actually one box (9 frames) full of bees which Mr Sanjay has been taking care of. I had never been so close to bees. It's a different topic altogether. But very much suits the name of the home-stay 'Bee Hive'.

Thanks a lot for making our stay so amazing. :):):)

I like this home stay a lot may be this my first home stay or the owners are really good.
its in Ammathi Town. If you have a own vehicle and like to see Coorg around, then this is place is correct. Mr.Sanjay Gandhi is very good, we have taken a cottage with three bedrooms; by the time we reached the cottage was painted so he offered his friends home stay for us. But we still felt stay here is good because of his gratitude. Next day morning he took us for his estate-walk, which enjoyed a lot. He patiently answered all our questions and took us to his house to show his gun and paintings. His house is really good, even the cottage has rose-wood furniture; u can see history everywhere in his place. Both wife and husband are very friendly and they have good garden around in their house.

I paid 2000/- per night with only breakfast and they don't allow cooking in the cottage. Pay the money through NEFT to his account to confirm the stay.

Room tip: Take cottage its has dinning room, fridge, living room and sit-out

Bit far from the main town, this resort is located in a very peaceful location. The cottage was really nice, clean, well maintained & of-course decorated with various beautiful glass paintings made by the owner, Mr. Sanjay.

Hospitality was very good & its actually home away from home.

We stayed at Beehive, Ammathi Town for two nights after seeing all the good reveiws! And it really turned out to be good experience. We reached the place early morning and the morning view was awesome! The greenery all around was a real freshener. Since we reahced so early, the room in the bamboo cottage was not arranged but Mr. Sanjay, the owner of the homestay arranged everything within 10 minutes. What i really liked about the place was the clean bathroom.During the tme we stayed there, breakfast was really nice and dinner was supernice. We really liked the food and hospitality of the place. Would surely recommend everyone to stay here if they don't mind travelling a little coz the town is some 30kms from the capital of Coorg. Anyway, all the major tourist places in Coorg are located far away from each other, so one needs to travel long long distances.

Room tip: The view from the Bamboo Cottage was really nice so if travelling in small groups, can stay here!
